Hi everyone! I made it home from my 7/31 RNY surgery on thursday 8/2. The pain/nausea when I first got up was horrible, but it is much better now. I'm able to keep my liquids down with no problem and my exercising is going well. My dogs are getting a work out too! I want to give a big thank you to Floyd and Brenda for coming to see me and having an awesome gift basket for me! It was so wonderful to meet you both! I also got to see Misty! And i'm glad you've made it home!!! Well, so far, I'm not hungry, BUT- i'm tired of seeing all the food commercials on tv!!! I think I won't care about the food when the weight is coming off, but my addiction to food is still hard to overcome. (even if my stomach wouldn't hold it) How did any of you overcome it? or did you have to? Thank you everyone for your support and prayers!!!!! hugs!!! Amanda

Great to see that you are home.  Sounds like your are doing everything right.  Keep up the good work.  You will get to where you will no**** any of the food you see.  Just remember why you had the surgery.  It will be well worth it in the end. Hugs Deborah

Hi honey! Congratulations! At first when I got home, I developed a fear of food attitude. I'd see something on tv, I would want it, then I would remind myself, "eating that would be painful." 4 months later I've lost almost 100 lbs and I have never dumped. Now I've eaten things that didn't agree with my body and made me sick, but I've never eaten something that has made me dump. It gets easier over time!!! Jenn

Amanda, So glad you are home and doing better.  It was a real pleasure meeting you and your entire family.  They are wonderful and can see they truly support your decision.  I know it seems hard now seeing all the food that you can't have now, but it will get easier day by day and so worth it.  Just reminder we are here for you.  You have lots of friends here.  Take care and keep in touch. Hi Amanda,  Welcome home to our new "Hoosier Loser". I am glad everything went smoothly for you. You are doing great! I had trouble with those TV commercials too- I finally muted the sound & picked up a magazine & turned to music,so they would stop playing "MIND GAMES" on me! Keep a sippy cup close & take small sips, think how much better you'll feel & look soon! Keep posting and can't wait to see your photo so I'll know you at our "Exchanges & Gatherings. I agree, Floyd & Brenda are such great people/supporters! (((hugs)))
