Hello everyone, It has been brought to my attention from others and I also agree, so I will put this out there for everyone! So for those that agree, I am sure they will follow through and for those that don't thanks for the donations anyway!!!! The clothing exchange has been a blessing for many of us and we have all benefited greatly from it!!! BUT, there are tons of clothes, both for the taking and LEFTOVER!!! To try to help with the over abundance of clothing what about NOT bringing clothing that is out of season!!! 1- it helps on the timing for putting clothes out and  2- it usually doesn't get chosen and is leftover anyway 3- if it is brought to the exchange when it is in season, more likely it would be chosen and someone from OH could benefit from it and be able to use it for the correct season!!!! I had ALOT of sweaters and sweatshirts at the last exchange, and they were left! I believe that if these were brought to the exchanges that are in the fall and winter that many would have been able to use them!!! This is just a suggestion, so that we can all benefit from the clothing being brought as well as having things set up in a timely fashion!!!! Another GREAT help would be to try and have the clothing seperated by sizes, prior to the exchange that way, whether it is the donor, other OH helpers, or the teens who will be helping, the tables could be set up more quickly!! I am not trying to put a damper on things, BUT I am trying to make it more time effecient so that everyone can have a good time, shop, enjoy the clothing available, get the best out of the exchange, as well as have plenty of time for shopping and socializing!!!! For those that have not been, there are LOTS of clothes!!! It really is unbelievable! We have taken 17 leftover bags to charity before and will be taking many this time as well! Please come out and visit and meet your fellow Hoosier Losers!!! Can't wait to see everyone, both old and new!!!! QUIT lurking and come on out!!! EVERYONE is WELCOME!!!! See ya SATURDAY!!!! Hugz Dawn EDITED to post a reminder for donations for gift bag items for new HOOSIER LOSERS!!! Also if ANYONE would like to make a small donation for the youth group they will be present, helping to unload/load your clothing as well as helping keep the children occupied while you shop and socialize with your fellow Hoosier Losers!!! They also help with setup and teardown!!! *** You DO NOT have to donate , but it is a small way to show our appreciation! If you are unable to donate, that is ok, you are still WELCOME to come!! Please DO NOT - NOT- come because of this request/suggestion!!! Hugz Dawn

I think it is a great idea Dawn.  So often we don't know what size we will be in three months so we often only shop for what we can wear now.  I did see a post from someone that said she didn't want to  come to the exchange because she needed to try to sell her stuff at a garage sale and couldn't afford new stuff.  The exchange is a perfect answer for her.  There is always more than enough clothes to go around.  Heck I go mainly to get together with everyone when I can.  I don't like garage sales and when I do have one I never mess with clothes so all my clothes go to the exchange. I'd rather see one of my new friends get the use out of something I can't use anymore.  So for all of you out there that haven't been to an exchange just come and check it out.  I promise you'll have a good time and feel welcome! I wish I could come saturday but I have to much to do getting ready for the party we are having.  I'll re post the party details tomorrow.  Time for bed now. Night all

Im am so sure this is needed but my house is so small my husband wont let me keep any clothes that no longer fit me.  Besides that all the fall cothes are out in the stores now for back to school.  So with that said:  I have 2 winter coats that if I cant get rid of them at the clothing exchange this week my husband will take to Goodwill.  If anyone is in need of a 3x suede jacket (Lane Bryant ,$200.00) with fur cuffs from and collar or a winter coat that is also suede coat 2x from Wilson Leather (from Cindy) please email me and I will bring them specifically for you.  I just hate for them to go to Goodwill.   Also I am looking for fall/winter clothing that is a size 16 - 18.    I also need a winter coat in the same sizes.  I dont think I can make it to the Oct exchange so anything you have I would glady take now if u can put them aside for me I would be so grateful!!!

Pamela, I know that there are going to be some cir****tances that are not going to make these suggestions possible for everyone. With that said, any help at all will be great and most helpful! For those of us further out we are able to more judge what sizes we will be needing but for the newer postops, it is really hard to know! I totally understand about the small house and hubby not liking to have all the extra clothes lying around and taking up space, I have one of those too!  Hopefully someone can get some good use out of your coats, especially since they know that they will be available. I have just seen some really good things left behind because some are not sure what size they will be in need of and they too may not have the hubby to want them to store it just in case it may fit, cause it might not!!! I will be donating to the burn foundation this time around, especially since I have had the benefit of their services for me! I am sure that those in need of the donations there will be grateful to receive anything and all sizes in all seasons, but it was just a suggestion to have some more space and free up a little time! Hope everyone understands and for those that can take advantage of the opportunity to help with this, that would be awesome, and again for those that can't, thanks for the donations- someone- will be grateful, no matter what! Have a great day, Hugz Dawn

The clothing exchange has been a blessing for so many...and some drive 2 or 3 hours to get here....and take clothing that is out of season because they may not get back tot he next one.  But I do understand what is being asked. My house is so small I can not keep clothing so these have really been a blessing to me.  I would rather bring them and let others make that determination if they want the out of season clothing....and besides the Lord has always shown us wear to take the extras...the missions and charity places are always in need of clothing.  So our extra clothing is helping others no matter where it is being taken.   I myself have went down so many sizes in two years and still fading slowly away, I am so thankful for these exchanges.   God bless Deb for starting them......the first ones were small and tiny...we have grown by word of mouth and this site.....Deb was the Angel that got this going with just her hard work and determination.....and all the ones that have picked up and moved on with this are all angels to all of us.  God bless each and every one of you. It is wonderful seeing everyone and spending time chatting and remembering when......and never forgeting where we were and where we are going.  This fantastic journey is one that we are all blessed with a second chance at life.  GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!!   See ya Saturday..............
