O.T. GETTING A NEW SMILE

Next Monday I have to go to my dentist and have my impressions made. Then go back on Tuesday@10, to
have all my teeth pulled. I'm worried because I have to
spend 90 minutes or more in the dentist chair. I'm afraid my back won't take it? They assured me they are planning on telling my pain dr., so that the pain clinic can
monitor my pain. I go see my pain dr, this Friday so we'll see what she says. Thanks all love & hugs.

I usually go to my oral surgen who gives me a I dont care shot before he pulls my teeth.. Then I dont care how long I sit in the chair... It is very similar to the shot they give before the endoscopy. I do n ot envy you... I hate going tot he dentist.. but I am going to have 2 teeth pulled as soon as I get the guts up to do it!! Linda, Is your dentist here in Indy? I need one like him! The last time that I went to a dentist who puts you out (in Danville), I went to him to avoid having novacaine...I'm severely allergic to it. At that time, there were only 2 strains of novacaine and I was allergic to both. This QUACK gave me injections of novacaine while I was out...because he didn't believe that I was allergic to it! When I woke up, we left his office and half way home, detoured to go to the hospital so they could give me massive benadryl injections. Would you believe he had the nerve to pressure me about the co-pay before the insurance paid their part!?!?! The dentist I have now uses a new strain that I am ok with it..but he's kinda rough. The stuff they put on the Q-Tip to numb you a little before the shot though, I am allergic to so I still break out in hives inside my mouth. You can see where I would love to find a dentist who would give me an 'I don't care' injection instead! Do you have to have a driver each time? That would be a problem for me. Sherri

I use the 1-800 denture people in Franklin-Edinburg area.  I believe they do just denistry also.  First come first served open at 6AM and it is all day expierince if you need partial or full denture but they do good work.

I'm going to affordable dentures in Franklin. My
dentist is, Dr.WLinda Wick. She does have a gentle
touch so hopefully it won't be tobad. Yes I'll be getting
a happy shot, because I get consionous sedation.
Yes, I'll have to have a driver both times. I use
Medicab, and they usually wait for me there. The issue with my back is because I have DJSD( it's
dejenerating spinal diese). Meaning I'have thinning vertabrates.Thanks for your care and support.

Oh Baby!   God bless your heart.  I HATE having teeth pulled.  But I do LOVE my dentist. He's 6' 2", brown curly hair, big brown eyes, adorable smile, looks like a men's fashion model, great personality and always gives me a kiss on the cheek and a big hug when I see him. He also happens to be my nephew! Best of luck to you!

I always would get back spasams when just in for a cleaning.  I've had a root canal and three crowns put on, Thankfully no teeth pulled yet.  I've found that if I take a small pillow to put under my lower back it helps a lot.  The chair reclines but it is hard and vinal covered.  I used to sit there and put both hands behind my lower back for support but the pillow works better.  Good luck,
