Monday
Happy Monday everyone. Ellen - we are still around. Been busy with work and playing. Went to the Marion County fair Sat. and found out we are too old for some of those rides. They had free carnival rides from 12-1 so we decided to give it a try. The Materhorn was a blast, the Tilt-a-Whirl was about 30 seconds short of too much for our little tummy's to handle and the Scrambler about beat us to death. It took 3 hours for our pouch to settle down and it will be days before all the bruises heal. I even managed to bruise my back. We did have fun walking in the sun and seeing a few animals. Then we went to the Greenwood Park Mall and Flower Factory. Then up to Carmel and Fishers and by then I was pretty wore out so we headed home for some much needed rest.
I spent Sunday in the kitchen as usual getting ready for the week. I made an awesome new dessert that is really easy, really, really good and actually pretty good for us too. I'll post the recipe in a separate post.
I finally got all the systems I need for my new job so I am really busy now. I have stacks of work but hey, there's 8 hours in a day and then I go home. It will always be there tomorrow. Once I get caught up and more experienced it will be a piece of cake.
Floyd is really busy this week at work too. His office is hosting a conference on Wednesday for more than 100 people. He is making reservations and helping with the handouts and things. Many of the folks will be coming in tonight and tomorrow so there will be lots of visitors for him to contend with too.
I think I need to hot tub before Big Medicine comes on so I hope everyone enjoyed today and has an even better Tuesday.
