Be very careful when you go to the hospital for anything (unless it is your bariatric hospital) I went to Hendricks County Hospital  Wed thinking it was m y heart again... well they shot me up with 4 count them 4 pain medications that by the way didnt work.. said it wasnt my heart and when I was throwing up and couldnt lift my head off the pillow they said welp it isnt your heart you have to leave now.. they wheeled my out of that hospital in a wheel chair throwing up!! My head was pounding like a jack hammer going off inside it.. I threw up for 10-12 hours.. Made it to Dr Cacucci yesterday.. looks like I may indeed have an ulcer. (I get scoped on Monday) She was so angry they did n ot give me fluids I was so dehydrated. she told me not to worry about eatting this weekend just get down as much protien and liquid as I can and gave me meds for ulcer to coat my tummy. My warning to you is if you go to the hospital first thing remind them you are a bariatric patient and need fluids first and formost until they dignose your problem.. Laying in the bed waiting for hours while they figure it out can only make you worse without the fluids going in... Linda Kay

Linda, I'm so sorry you have to go thru all of that. THANK GOODNESS IT WASN'T YOUR HEART!!! I now know where NOT to go for anything. They need to be ashaned, and reported!!  I had something like you did  on Tue. & Wed. ~violent headache(felt like my head was exploding) and dry heaves for several hours . I thought I had food poisioning since I'd tasted some of Dana's slaw at the resturant, and he had a stomach ache also. Yep, anyone who has had bariatric surgery needs to go somewhere that KNOWS how to give the right care. Maybe we should have a card that reads -be advised`~I am a Bariatric pateint , need fluids, and proper care!!! Keep taking  those fluids in girl, rest and feel better quick!  Love ya,  Ellen

I'm so glad that you are okay. and yes they need to be reported to someone about the way they treated you. oh and my girllfriend has a medical alert bracelet that reads that she has had the RNY surgery and that she needs fluids. so anytime she goes to the hospital they will see that. linda i hope everything is okay with you.
