Death of Missy Smith

Dear Friends It is with a very saddened heart that I report the sudden death of one of our WLS family members. Our friend Missy Smith age 30 had WLS about six months ago and despite some infections from gauze left in her abdomen during surgery was doing very well on her journey.  In fact Ann talked to her a few days ago and she was feeling great and so proud that she had lost over 100 lbs since surgery.  Her doctors had told her that if she did not have WLS she would probably not be around more than another 3 to 5 years.  Missy was an active member of our Kokomo support group. This morning her husband kissed her good bye as he left for work and she was fine.  Her 11 year old daughter went in later and found she was not breathing and called her dad who called 911 but they were unable to revive her.  She died of a massive heart attack. Missy leaves behind her husband Todd, and three young daughters, Harley age 11; Megan age 9; and Ivey age 5.  Please keep all of this family in your prayers.   I know that the family has been struggling with finances for some time and I just found out that she did not have any Life Insurance. Oh Dan this breaks my heart. We never understand why. Thankfully her family have their faith and friends to see them thru. I will be praying that He holds all of her family in the palm of His hand everyday.  (((hugs))) Ellen

Cala Missy just a  got a computer given to her and I was  going to help her set  her up with an account  but that did not get accomplished .  She was planning to come to the next clothing exchange with us. Dan

God's will be done I was reading this and Carroll Roberson - Peace In The Valley came on XM radio. There is Peace in her Valley and I pray for Peace in the people left for now.
