Reminder: Indiana OH Camp-Out!

Accommodations:   Air-Conditioned cabins Tent/RV sites with full/partial hook-up Who:     ANYONE who would like to come! Pre- or post-ops! Spouse, significant others, kids, pets! $$$:      This KOA is ran by an Indiana board member (Hope) and her husband. They have reduced the rates for that weekend for our board members. When you call to make the reservation and be sure to tell them that you are part of the Obesity Help group! ****    There is shopping at nearby Shipshiwana.  ****    There is also many other things to do right at the camp grounds including fishing, swimming, horse shoes, walking, and a playground for kids.  ****     We will be having a pitch-in dinner the evening of the 11th. Nothing fancy..just a good, HEALTHY meal. (Since I won't be having my full stove with me, I really doubt I do a Splenda thing.)  ****      We are talking about perhaps having a mini clothing exchage up there also...but only bringing sizes we KNOW someone else can use. So..if you need clothes and can't make it to the exchange on the 4th, but will be at the camp-out, drop me a note with your size..k? Hope to see a bunch of you up there! If you live near there and don't plan to camp-out there, but visit during the day, let us know! We'd like to have an idea of how many people will be there for the dinner as well as who all we get to look forward to seeing! Sherri

SHERRY DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE ANY SMALL CABINS LEFT WITH AIR? IF SO I AM TRYIN TO GET JIM TO GO . I EVEN FFERED TO DRIVE UP FRIDAY NIGHT AND LET HIM REST. HECK IF I DRIVE WE WOULD BE THERE AROUND 8ISH , STILL  LIGHT OUT. I WILL KEEP AN EYE OUT ON HERE FOR YOUR REPLY. VICKI

Vicki, I just called the 800 number and got their voicemail. I left a message for Hope and asked that she posts on here what all is available still and the prices. If you call there to make a reservation prior to Hope having a chance to post, please post that info for everyone...k? I had made our reservations a few months ago so I have no idea what is still open. The KOA's that we've stayed at though have had several cabins. Their's probably does as well, so there is probably some still unclaimed. Sherri

Sounds like it will be a great time.  I wish I could be there.  But I'm having PS on August 7th and will be at home recuperating.   I'm also going to miss the clothing exchange - I'm hosting a birthday party that day.

I so wish I could go, but I've already talked to my doc and he's said no, *sigh*. I guess I have to settle to seeing everyone at the clothing exchange. I hope everyone has fun though and takes lots of pics to post and share with all of us that are unable to attend. Jodi

I"m really looking forward to that weekend too.  I love parades and festivals so that is just a bonus.  I can't wait to meet all the northern OHer's and hear thier stories.  I love comparing journeys and sharing in everyone's success. I think I will be making baked beans for the pitch in.  Easy to transport and they can cook while we're out enjoying the festival. Vicki, I really hope Jim says yes.  He already know some of us.  Tell him we all really want him to go, please!!! Floyd and I took the 10th off so we will be up there in the afternoon.  See everyone there!!!
