ok, the scales are officially moving in the right direction....that makes me a happy camper!  I've begun to eat right, walk daily and isn't it funny how those scales begin to move in the right direction when you do that???? :)  My starting weight was 300.6...I now weight 297.6 and that was tonight after i had eaten and worked all day....i like that ;) I'm hoping to weigh 285 when I go for my surgery...but anything less than 300 will do ;) I have 16 days left...I'm pretty sure I can get to at least 290 by my surgery date... YAY for scales moving in the right direction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HUGS, jen

I'm so happy for you!! I wish I'd started doing the necessary things before WLS, instead of having too many "last suppers"- I gained 17#!!! Keep up the great work- you will reap the benifits and be more prepared for your "new" life. (((hugs))) Ellen

My goal before surgery was to be below 240 and I was but just barely. I had read here that sometimes people actually gain weight while in the hospital and I did. I managed to find 9 pounds. It is all water and gas that my body is retaining. So don't be alarmed if that happens. It still has not come off yet. My lower abdomen is still very swollen and very very bruised. Good luck and I think you will like Dr. Huse.

Congrats on the scale moving in the right direction.  You have started making the moves  for this to be a successful journey.  Keep up the good work!!!!!!!! Walking daily, eating the correct foods it is amazing what taking the time out for one's self can do for a person. Always remember to take that time for you.  It is really important during this journey! Being a 2 years post op, let me say this seeing the scales move in the right directions is an completely awesome feeling.  It is still exciting even today when those xfactors (unexpected things) come and go in your life and your still able to see the scale go in the right direction. Again, KEEP THE SCALES ON THE RUN!!!!!! luvanlife
