I woke up this am. and thought- oh boy, rain!! I was doing the in my kitchen. We haven't had rain in a month- lots of dark clouds, thunder & lightening but a drop or 2 and thats it- today 1/4 inch- woo-hoo, my flowers are smiling! Last night our dear friends we spent a week with  in "hot-lanta"(Atlanta)came down for dinner and we saw photos of our trip- fun walking down memory lane together. About 1 hr. before, I had walked around our pickup and into a pile of crushed stone- and down I went! My elbow is screaming still this am! Dana had to pick me up from the pile and help me to the house- my whole left arm is scratched/cut up- boo-hoo!  I felt like a real dummy- knew it was there, just in too big a hurry to watch where I'm going. The nice thing was he got to be my "sou chef" (the man took 25 yrs. to learn how to use the micro. now he's a wizz)   Today is our 42nd. anniversery- yup, I was a "child bride" (he was 19, I was 17) and we are still going strong! I married my blind date after a 6 month romance. It was a hot 96 degrees, no airconditioning anywhere (we're so spoiled now-love it).We have experienced so much, met so many wonderful people along the way and come thru some rough spots intact. It hasn't been all a "bed of roses" but the "thorns" have helped us to grow . We have 3 lovely daughters & "sons", 8 grandsons, 1 grandaughter & twins (boy & girl)coming. How truely blessed we are!! We are going to see Harry Potter and out to supper tonight- I'm hoping Red Lobster- I'm hungary for some shrimp and crab  legs! Thanks to Sherri, they have become a fav of mine! We have a wedding the 4th as well as a class reunion, so I won't be going to the Clothing Exchange. I'll miss getting to visit with all of you asnd meeting the "newbies". Have a great day everyone, (((hugs))) Ellen

42 yrs is awesome! I just celebrated 16 with my hubby (I was a near child bride, 18, does that count?)...I think 42 yrs is just amazing and I love how you are able to appreciate all you've been blessed with. Have fun tonight! I don't know if I'll be at the clothing exchange on the 4th or not either, but if not I'll hopefully get to meet you at the next one...
