I don't know for sure but if for some reason they schedule my nut classes for the tuesday before my surgery or something we may just find a cheap place to stay up there instead of driving home. Or we may just come up there the night before and stay because my hubby isn't going to want to eat/drink in front of me but he has to have food or whatever within an hour of waking up soo driving without stopping isn't going to work well. Soo any suggestions are appreciated.

My mom and I stayed at St. Vincents hotel...I forget the name of it.  Its inside the belt at the main hospital.  It was only like 40 a night and they have a pool and wifi.  Its not right next door but its only like 10-15 min from the Carmel hospital.

Hampton Inn about 1/2 mile from the hospital is great, ask for the St. V's rate. I think its $79.00- new, clean, and has a good breakfast buffet in the am.  Sarah

Theres the Martin House which is on 86th street by St. V's 86th..Your surgery and the Bariatric Center is at St. V's Carmel..where are you coming from?..there are plenty of hotel/motels along 82nd street in Castleton..pretty reasonable and then you just go west to Meridian or jump on the interstate and go north on Meridian..once you are on the Northside Castleton is just east of where you need to be. Look at websites like Holiday Inn, Red Roof Inn, Quality Inn, Hampton Inn and I know there are several hotels on the way up north Meridian but I think they will be a bit more pricey..or try calling the Bariatric Center at Carmel and ask them if they can suggest something for you or they might be able to offer a discount?..Linda

Try looking up the St. Vincent hotel with Marten house, it has the e instead of i.  I only know that cuz I work at the St Vincent hospital on 86th street. You might even give them a call and explain to them why you would be staying there as far as for your sugery and they might even give a discount for that. I know alot of the families of patients that I have taken care of have stayed there. Its worth a try rather then paying alot at some of the other hotels there.  Its not to far from the St. Vincent Carmel from there either.  Hope that helped ya a little.

Thank you,  the marten house is the place I was talking about.  Its really cheap to stay there.  My mom and I stayed there when I had my pre-op class and testing.  Then my parents stayed there while I was in the hospital for my surgery.
