Period??

I am 53 years old and have not had a period for years!  I'm 10 days out from surgery...   I've lost 28 lbs in the last 31 days and now I'm having a period.   Is this normal?  Anyone else have this happen to them after surgery?

I hear it's kinda common to get a period right after surgery, even if you usually don't.  I know I got mine, but that was right on time for me.  Kim

Holy crap!!!!  I'm gonna have a period???    They never mentioned THAT at my consult!!     ... OK, I'll be good now... 

I'm 52 and had not had one for 6 months prior to surgery and it started the day I had surgery. Since then I've had one every 3 or 4 months. Nothing regular. They said this is not unusual. ( But it makes me mad. I thought I was done with all that mess)

I have always had issues with my period, and i woke up from surgery with a pad on, and ever since then, I've had one.  Well, excluding the pregnancy months.

yes.. it makes me mad too!  I have no supplies in the house so I had to go buy some... lol    Cripes... I have not had to do that for YEARS!  LOL

I was only 30 and had not had a regular period in a long, long time, but now I have them every month like clockwork.  Linda Vicory
