OK. someone brought pepperoni chips to the last clothing exchange and I was wondering how you made them.  Also if you make up a large batch do you store them in air tight container or do they need to be refrigerated?

Jan~

I make the turkey pep chips all the time and make them in pretty big batches.  Mostly because all the people in my house eat them and love them.  I make my extra dry and treat them like a chip.  I put a paper towel in a super air tight plastic dish and they keep until there gone (not in fridg).  I am not sure how many weeks they could last since they disappear so fast at my house.  We use them with ff dips, on top of salads, with cheese, in soup like a cracker but my fav. Is just plain like a chip.  In the A.M. I sometimes like to have a few with FF cream cheese for breakfast, or in the evening I use them to scoop up FF refried beans.  You get the point I am a big fan!!!!  How are you doing these days?  I was just thinking about you and how much fun you get to have out on the farm!

Blessings,

Carmen

Hormel Turkey Pepperoni

Slices Place
a single layer of Hormel Turkey Pepperoni slices on a microwave safe plate with paper towels underneath and over the top of the pepperoni.  Microwave for approximately 1 minute 30 seconds.  If your microwave does not have a turntable, rotate plate every twenty seconds.  Cool on paper towels. Serving Size ~ 17 pepperoni chips  Calories: 80 Fat: 4 grams Protein: 9 grams Carbs: 0 grams  I do mine longer because I like them crisp like a chip!  Just try them and see what time works best for your micro....  WWW.wlsindy.com   many good recipes.

I think it was Carmen that got me hooked on them.. but I put 2 paper towels on a plate and FILL the plate , put another paper towel on top with and then microwave them for 2 and a half minutes. I know I brought a batch to the last exchange.. I LOVE dipping them into taco cheese  and I set them on my desk at work for a quick snack. I always make the whole bag at a time and put the cooled chips in a tupperware bowl or a ziplock bag. sorry they dont last long enough around my house to know how long they would actually last.. Anf no dont refriderate them.. I thinjk that could make them soggy... Also got my son hooked on them.  Linda Kay
