Where do you all go to the support meetings at?

I live in Seymour which is over an hour from Indy and there is one meeting here at our local hospital (which to my knowledge theres not even a practicing bariatric surgeon at) and theres one at Columbus Regional Hospital which does have a bariatric unit.  The thing is I believe the doc who goes to Seymour hospital is from CRH and I was wondering if it would be weird of me to go to the support group meeting at our local hospital as opposed to driving to St. V's even though thats where my surgery is?

Misty,  I live in Brownstown, I had surgery at St. V.  i went to the support group at columbus court house a few times and its a nice group but the one at Seymour is so much closer and more convenient./.  The one at Seymour is held by a nurse that had surgery at St V herself a few years ago. she had Dr. Huse.  Its smaller and more personal and i really enjoy it.  its on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m.  If you plan on going let me know and i will meet you there.  It will be next monday the 16th.  If I can ever help you or give you any support let me know, i will send you my phone number and you can call me.  Sinse we are local it would be easy for us to communicate.  I have had a pretty easy time of it as far as not having any complications and all but  i do struggle with food and what to eat some times. I am 20 months out so i can eat alot more foods but some days finding stuff that agrees with me is a challenge.  Keep in touch, Carla

I'm 100% sure I'm going to be going to the Seymour meeting next week :) so hopefully I'll see ya there :) Would it be something that is okay to bring my hubby with me?

I go to the one at the Columbus city hall. There is a meeting tomorrow night from 5:30- 7:00. It meets every
2nd Thursday of the month. This one is put on by
Johnson Memorial Hospital. I'm going there to have
my surgery. It's up to you which one you want to go to.
You may chose to go to both? Or at least check both
out.
