Hi David. Welcome. I would try contacting your primary care physician and ask him to recommend a surgeon that accepts medicaid.  He should have the resources to tell you who in your area is available. ~~jackie

Calll the Customer Service number on the back of your Mediciad card and ask the CSR to mail you a listing of Indiana Aprroved Bariatric Surgeons and any other information you may need. They may also ask for you Primary Doc's name and address and send him the information packet required by him/her to fill out before you can see (by his/her referral) the surgeon. GOOD LUCK Jodi

Welcome David! I don't know whether or not they take Medicaid, but Clarian Bariatric is absolutely awesome.

Hi David, Yes, Dr. Inman takes Medicare/Medicaid and she is through St. Vincent Bariatric Center, the only Center of Excellene right now in Indiana.  I know that is a stipulation for Medicare but haven't a clue if it is for Medicaid. Dr. Inman is a wonderful surgeon and she does both the Duodenal Switch (the only surgeon in IN that does it) and the RNY.  Her info session is very informative and she gives you all you need to know to pick the right surgery for you and your lifestyle. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Hi David,
I know for a fact that Dr.Dana Lindsey,Johnson Memorial
Hospital, takes Medicaid. She's my surgeon, and I'm on
Medicaid myself. If you look to the left under OTHER
INDINANA RESOURCES, it says find a baritric surgeon.
Click on this and her name and number should come up.
Hope this helps you.
