Saturday
I slept in until 11am, and I'm still tired. Hehe. We were up till 3am with friends last night. We are going to a birthday party for a different friend tonight, after I get off work at 9pm. I didn't know what to get her, so I got her a bottle of pomegranite liqueor. It sounded interesting, and she likes that kind of thing. Anyone else got any plans for tonight? I hope the pool party goes well. I wish I could have gone, but I have to be at work at 2pm.

Hi Linda...well I'm sitting here exhausted myself...I had a very long day...I am a photographer, and today I had two different 'events' to photograph...the first started at 9am, and didn't finish til 3pm...and I didn't have a break! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I had to be at the second event at 5:30pm and finally got out of there at 10pm...it was killer on the back!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty much pooped, but I can't get to sleep so I thought I'd come in here and get caught up on posts and email, etc before I lay down....that was my day in a nutshell...
ughs! lol
Jen :D
That's a cool line of work! I love photographs. We get our kids' pictures taken pretty regularly. I didn't used to. In 1999, shortly after my daughter Lucy was born, I decided bright and early the first Saturday of spring break we were going to get a family picture taken. It took forever to get our turn at Kmart (all we could afford as students), but we got them taken. My daughter Lucy died of SIDS before they came back. I cherise those pictures of her and our family.

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss... you are so right though, pictures are so important...my father is a photographer (freelance) and so I grew up around cameras....I have my own studio...I love doing the work I do because it's so rewarding...I also volunteer my time as a photographer to an organization called "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep"...this is free photography for infants who have died or infants or young children who are terminal. It's very rewarding, and at the same time a tough job because of the grief surrounding the subjects of the photos.
I do love taking pictures though...it has changed my life. :)
Jen
Jen,
Do you have a website? Do you do weddings? We are looking for a photographer for my daughter's wedding. She just got engaged and will be married next June. I know it's early, but we need to get as much taken care of before school starts in the fall as my daughter is a teacher.
FYI, we are both (my daughter and I) Hoosier Losers. She had her surgery February 21, 2006 and I had mine February 20, 2007.
Best,
Donna
Hi Donna! :) I'm happy to be joining the family of "Hoosier Losers" soon...I get my surgery date TOMORROW :)
My website for my photography is: www.momentsbyjen.com
Thanks for your interest! :)
Jen
Thanks, Jen, for sending me your website. I've looked at it and like what I see. I didn't realize (or hadn't noticed) that you are in French Lick. Oh well, even with paying you a travel fee, I don't think we can do any better. We live on the southside of Indianapolis (just north of the Johnson County line), but the wedding is probably going to be just outside of Zionsville). I will have my daughter look at your website. I'll be back in touch.
Best,
Donna
