Roller derby is dead for me

So last night was the first practice....

I went and I was ALL pumped up... We did the first drill of drop drills which is when you skate around and then fall on your knees so you get used to falling and you aren't scared of it... I did it and my incision started hurting... Then we did low drills and it kept right on hurting, when we took our first break I decided it wasn't worth hurting my incision when I was doing so well so I took my skates off and walked out crying... For two years something has kept me from it... I'm not going to try anymore..

No more derby for me gals.... *sniff sniff*

Jess, I am so sorry.  I know how much this meant to you.  The time just isn't now.  Give yourself longer to heal and then go out there and whup 'em!

Hi Jessyca, I know how excited you were about this and I'm sure you are very disappointed, I'm sorry.  I really don't think your body was trying to tell you 'Never' just 'not now'.  Hang in there girl. "Just what makes that little old ant, think he can move that rubber tree plant......................................................................................."  ;)  Gotta have your goals and dreams girl!!! Jess, Don't give up if this is something you really want.  You are only 3 months post-op!  You had major surgery.  You need to give your body more time to heal.  If this is something you are supposed to do, it will come together when the time is right for you.  In the meantime, work on losing your weight and making your body stronger.
