On the road again

Hi my friends, I have missed you!!! I can't believe I'm able to "connect" with you- it seems like forever!So much has been happening- I have been in the ocean and went to the top of a mountian to see the falls- I walked up part of a 3800 ft. mountian to get there!!! I just took my time and kept saying-" one foot in front of the other- I think I can, I know I can"~~and did! I felt like Rocky!!! I hope to post some photos when I get home. It was worth every step! Plus we went to the Cabbage Patch Baby General Hospital; Atlanta Underground: Stone Mtn. Alpine Helen Ga. ( a quaint German village)several other "outings".We  loved the laser light show and fireworks at the close of our day at Stone Mtn. It was soooo hot and humid all week, but we had a great time. I did so many things on my list of " I always wanted to do & couldn't list'~ PLUS I read 4 books! We are on our way to Minn. and Iowa to visit our daughter & SIL. We are going to go camping at Lake Okabogee, Iowa at a state park together from the 29 -July 9. We always do the week of the 4th together, since it is Wendy's birthday ( the 1st) and they live so far away. We go fishing, swimming in a glacier lake, watch fireworks over the lake, and hang out- every evening we have a hot game of dominoes or cards plus a roaring campfire- gotta love it!! We got home Sunday at 4pm. and left today at 1pm.I finally ended up throwing things in sacks and straightening up this pm.- after a swim in the pool here in Ill.We go 1/2 way and stopped for the pm. So far we have gone 3650 miles- and we have about 1500 to go!! My butt feelings it has tire treads on it!! We drive 1/2 way and stay at a really nice KOA every time we go to Minn. The folks are great and it is clean & quiet. As a Mom I gotta tell you having your girls living in Fla.(1200 miles away) and Minn. (600 miles away)is rough- I miss them so much! Penny is having a hard time adjusting to Fla.heat and she & the kids got as really bad sunburns  last week, so they aren't going to the pool this week. She did find a good school for them and has had 4 job interviews. Please keep them in your prayers, cause their home hasn't sold, no job and the cost of living is really high there.Mike's classes are going well, but he can't get a job till he's done . Until I see you again, take good care of yourselves, and I hope to see you all at the clothing exchange! I love you all.Oh, there's no internet or phone signal where we are going, so I'll check in when I can.
