Someone needs some love...Free Choc. Lab Mix
Hi everyone!!!
Everything is well on my end...but we have a beautiful 1 1/2 year old Chocolate Lab mix that we need to find a good home for. He is a mix of a black lab (daddy) and choc. lab ( momma) we have had him since he was 6 weeks and he is great with our two year old. He weighs about 60- 70 pounds. He is currently an outside dog due to living arrangments but has been trained inside and is housebroken. He loves the water (we had him boating since he was a pup:) and he loves to take walks. The reason we are having to give him up is because we are looking to move to Indy and into a small apartment. We have asked friends and family (not many) and none are availble for a new family member
. So I thought I would ask my OH family if anyone would want a new someone to love or knows of someone who does??? Just email me or leave a meesage here on the board. I am more than willing to meet someone or bring him to them. Upon email I will show pics and make arrangments!
Thanks OH family for everything!

We have two small dogs (Pomaranian and chiuaha mix) and he loves them...even when they go after him he roles on the floor like a big baby and lets them pulvarize him LOL its actually quite entertaining:) Also he has not been fixed...I have never caught him spraying though...we werent sure when we got him if we would want to breed him or not. We werent expecting LIFE:) His name is LOUIE when he was a pup he had a soul patch so its like Louie Armstrong:)!!!
I can't take him, but if him not being fixed would prevent someone from taking him, know that you could get him fixed very cheaply at the face low cost pay neuter clinic, the big dogs I think are $40? Maybe $35, I can't remember, but all of our dogs have been fixed there, and i feel better giving the money to a nonprofit place. I wish I could take another dog, but I'm at my three dog maximum for my lease. Labs are such great dogs, too. I hope you find a home for him, let us know! IF you can't i can give you the name of the rescue shelter we got our lab from I'd hate to see him go to animal control.
Thanks Darrah,
Thanks for the post...yes one of the reasons he is "free" is because he has not been fixed and is up for his flea meds. Labs are great dogs...I am greatful that I had a larger dog that was so friendly for my daughter to be around. If I dont find anyone I will definitly contact you about the rescue...I wanted that to be my last resort :)
Thanks

Gosh I wish I could take him. I have a lab and she is the best dog I've ever had. They are usually great around kids. I just heard this morning on the radio that labs are the 7th smartest dog. Mine is usually a couch potato but she goes out a couple of times a day and runs a little then she is done.
We have a pond but the most she will do is walk on the very edge of the water. If I didn't have so many animals to take care of already I'd take him in a second, neutered or not. Some day I want another dog and it will be a lab. Labs will give twice as much love as they ever take. I hope you find a good home for him.
