It is very hard for me to eat or drink.  I feel like stomach acid is in my throat.  Has anyone else ever had this feeling three weeks post op?  I am taking the pepcid AC as direct by St. Vincent but it does seem to be taking care of all of it.  This very uncomfortable and makes it hard to get all of my fluids down.

Pepcid AC never really did work for me, so I switched to Omeprazole (generic for Prilosec) and it works just great.  As long as I take it everyday, I have no acid reflux at all.  You might want to talk to Dr Diaz or your pcp about trying something else. Good luck!

You need to get a hold of your wls doctor, you probley need to have your esophagause(sp) dilated, it is simple to do and you will feel much better.  Dont wait on this because you need those fluids in your body. Lisa B

It happend to me too.  Dr. said I was eating or drinking to fast  and that  its probably not heart burn because your new pouch doesn't produce acid.  I had acid production from my old stomach.  They may put you on some carafate, which is milky like and it coats your esophagus and tummy.  Mine got better, they also put me on prevacid.
