Hi ~from the road!

Hi everybody,WOOPIE~YAHOO~ I'm actually able to "connect" with you!! Boy, I sure have missed checking in with all of you. Man, are we beat!! We drove 14 hrs, the first day and 9 the second thru awful road construction to move our Daughter & SIL to St. Peter, Fla. It was a long trip with a 4 yr. old & 7 yr. old,  they were so good!  We had a wonderful time with thre grandkids- going to the pool, playground,bike rides, walking, Mote Aquarium, the ocean,& more.  I sure couldn't have done 3/4 of this before surgery-plus I wore my size 14 swimsuit!!! I actually didn't care that my body isn't perfect, I just had FUN!!!I even went to the Salvation Army and bought 2 pr. of shorts- I never wear shorts!! We stayed in Venice Beach- another 68 miles SW. Man, we drove another 1 1/2 hrs. every evening to get there.(No  phone, so no internet connection).Each night we'd get in about 12 pm. and head out by 9AM. The ocean was beautiful and we played in it several times. Found sharks teeth & went shelling twice with the kids. It RAINED  every day- just a few drops to a couple of hrs. but HOT~upper 80's to 90's and high humidity. I gotta tell you it broke my heart to leave them.I bawled like a baby, and so did  my daughter. She's always been an hr. away from us, and easy for us to "be there" when needed. She/they don't know anyone, he didn't have anyone to help unload the uhaul, and we are all exhasted. My daughter is really unhappy- the apt. they got wasn't the one they'd picked out ( really small) and everything is piled up. We took the kids out for hrs. just to let them have some time together to unpack & set up. Plus the job she'd applied for is 1/4 the $$ she made here.The job market is awful and so are the taxes. The good news is gas is $2.84 a gallon. Please keep them in your prayers. I know they will adjust- she's just missing her old job, house, friends, etc.I put the grandkids to bed and Willow said- "don't forget me Grammy, I love you".Oh gosh I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Well, gotta get off here and get a shower- traveling to Villa Rica to meet up with our friends in the am- another 3 hrs. "On the road again"- Our theme song! Hey girlfriend! It sure is good to hear from you!!!!! IF you get bored sometime, I'm a phone call away..k?  I know Grammy isn't going to forget Willow...and she better not forget her little sis and the rest of her 'family' either! Miss you....but I hope you have a good time even though you are having to leave your new vacation spot behind for a little while.

Sherri ps...Guess what? It got where I couldn't drink the shake-a whey anymore...but it does great to make protein pudding with! I broke down and ordered me some Achiev One's. Are you going to be anywhere near Ft. Lauderdale? Save me some s&h!
