Boy am I glad Friday is here.  It has been a long busy week.  I'm working on a sidewalk with patio pavers at home in the evening.  I did that till about 9:00 last night then DH and I decided to relax a little and took the paddle boat out on the pond.  It was so relaxing to just float out there and watch the sunset.  The one good thing about the "no rain" situation is the mosquitos aren't too bad right now.  ARRRRRGH.  I got on the scales this morning...... I've been working so hard to get to onederland.  I just use the scales here at the office and they measure to the tenths.  This morning it said 200.4. So maybe by Monday when I check I'll will be finally there! The last 10 pounds have gone so slowly. Partly my fault, I've been making some not to good decisions lately. BUT, atleast when I stray now it is just a bite or two not a whole bag or box. This weekend I hope to get the sidewalk done and move on to another project. I may go out and ride my horse and before it gets to hot in the morning. The farrier comes tomorrow at 9  to trim the horses feet so with all the feet in the barn (48 feet in all) that will take us till about 1:00.  Then I might just go float in the pond on my air mattress to cool off.  AHHHHH. The weekend.  Hope you all have a good one.

Boy Jan have you been busy. You make me tired just thinking about working on the sidewalk in this heat! I've been lucky getting my walking in the other night I think I went out at 11pm to walk a few laps around the neighborhood! I'm still having trouble with protien. I drank milk with the surgar free carnation instant breakfast the other night. Big mistake I got very nauseous and vomited for a couple of hours. Last night I choked down some Isopure with some crystal light gag! Any sugestions would be welcome.  Have a great weekend Cheryl

Cheryl, I am SO glad to see you on here girl! How are you feeling other than your protein issues? Are you on St. V's protein drink mix? If so, try a little bit of sf jello mix to flavor it up. I prefered lime or lemon flavors because anything else was just way too sweet. All the CIB I had bought, I gave away. I could not stand the taste of that crap. If that gives you problems, it may be the powdered milk more so than dairy so I would try next skim milk with Nestle's sf chocolate mix. If that goes down well, it's not the dairy. If you do have problems with it...and if you also have problems with the string cheese and/or cottage cheese, then you may be lactose intollerant. If you find that to be the case, post a note on here. I'm sure plenty of people can give you tons of suggestions. For myself, when I went through my intollerance phase (which I no longer have), I could still handle whey protein...preferably if it's pre-mixed and not powder.  Should you decide to try some of the protein products out there (and there is a ton to choose from!!), only get 1 or 2 of each kind/flavor until you figure out what goes best with your updated taste buds and your new pouch. Invariably, I will get a banana cream and a french vanilla because they sound sooooo good. I get home, chill them, try them and YUCK! You'd think I would learn, huh??? Be cautious of buying anything in bulk..including Crystal Light. My taste buds would change their mind on me constantly! I ended up donating bags of CL for the welcome bags! Anyway, glad you're home, and walking around! Can't wait to see the new you! Sherri

Great to see you home and mending finally.  Hope all is going well for you now.  I too couldn't do the CIB or any milk the first few months.  I switched to FF Lactaid and that didn't bother me at all.  It's more expensive than milk but worth the price if you can keep it down.  Can't stand the taste of soy milk - YUCK!  I buy Kroger Carb Master strawberry yogurt and add one scoop of Desinger Whey strawberry protein powder.  I mix it at night and leave it in the fridge so it almost has a pudding texture.  I really love it and it gives you 30 grams of protein.  You might not be able to eat it all at once but even if it takes all day that's half your protein.  I watered down the CL (about 3 to 1) so it wasn't so strong and that made it a little more tolerable for me too.  If I didn't it actuall burned my throat. Take care and hope to see you at the pool party.

Great to see you posting Cheryl.  Funny thing about working in this heat. It doesn't bother me nearly like it did before.  Plus the area I'm working in is under the shade of a big walnut tree.   I didn't do well with the protein shakes after the first week.  I did the bottles of fruit flavored isopure over crushed ice.  The rest of my protein I got in my cottage cheese, yogurt, and skim milk.  I've tried those profect vials and the ones I tried tasted similar to the isopure.  It wasn't so much the taste as the texture of it seemed thick. The good thing about the profect is you get more protein in a smaller amount of liquid.  I celebrated tonite and bought a sundress at Wallyworld.  Only $13.00 but still a splurge becasue I didn't need it.  I got it because it fit and it is fun to be able to buy stuff and look like a girl again.  Keep up the walking, it is the best exercise. Hope to see you agin soon.
