Hello all! Hope you all are going to have a good day! I'm feeling pretty good today. I got up at 6am and went walking. I even jogged for a block! That's the longest so far yet! This ole butt hasn't run in years before having this surgery.  Yesterday I got a call back about a part-time job. I think I posted on here, I was leaving the DV shelter where I worked on Saturdays and Sundays. The 12 hour shifts just got to be too long for me. I found a job as a cashier at Sears. The discount will be nice, what with needing new clothes! Today when I weighed in, I finally broke out of the 190's. I was at 189 (and feelin' fine!). Hooray! Linda Vicory

Good Morning Linda - Good Morning EVERYONE and ALL! Ahhh jogging. One activity I miss badly. Like seriously miss. When the OB said "no more running" I spent at least the next three months watching all the joggers ( I live across the street from the city park and an Rec center with a visuable indoor running/jogging/walking track) and crying. Yeah, really miss jogging. Can't wait till I can participate in that activity again. I have 15 weeks till my due date. I've gained 16 lbs so far. Although I'm on "target" per say the weight gain is really messing with my brain. Lots of fears about gaining weight and it not coming off after Quinntin is born, though logical I totally understand that it should because I'll have my band refilled and adjusted. But looking at my belly getting bigger and my arms and thighs filling out - it's really set a bad body dismorphia process going on. I've kinda gone house bound because I actually think I look like a huge tub of lard. Yeah - it's silly on my part. But my dang ole brain still isn't out of that mode that society placed about fat people from when I was fat. Logically I know I"m NOT FAT that I'm Pregnant... but sometimes my brain doesn't like logic. Anyways - I'm enjoying spending time reading to the baby and watching him respond to my voice. My dog Chico is my biggest cuddler right now and follows me every where. He's even been known to lick my tummy when Quinntin starts thumping around real good. Hormones are working and I run the gambit of pregnancy highs and lows on and off all day. Wheeee - what a fun emotional roller coaster I'm on.

Ah, pregnancy hormones, aren't they wonderful?  I had the best time feeding Gwynnie her 6 am bottle this morning.  Every time I pick her up I just can't believe how lucky I am.  My little family is small, but it means the whole world to me.  You never realize how much you love your family at 19 years old until a part of it is taken away.  When my mom died, our family died with her.  And we had to spend the next 9 years building a new one.  Then when dad died in January, it left just me and my brother.  But at least we knew it was coming with dad.  When mom died she was only in the hospital for 12 days and then was gone..... so it makes me appriciate so much more the everyday time that I spend with Gwyn.  She's a gem.  Yesterday she tried imitating me for the first time.  I would laugh at her and she would say "HEEEE!" back to me.  She only did it 3 or 4 times, but it was so fun!

That's fantastic linda that you're down to 189... i'm so envious...

I'm down 1 whole lb this week... I really think it's because I haven't been getting all my protein in and eating appropriately... i've been so tired and itchy that i just haven't been doing it and it's hard to mix in another pill that i cna't take my calcium or iron with... 6 hours before or 5wo hours after.. really difficult...

I spent all day yesterday ujnloading a truck bed of mulch and I have to go get another one today.. Tomorrow i have some job interviews... This afternoon i'm going to the pool... i love to swim so that's what i'm going to do... and get some sun while i'm at it.. i just have to be careful i don't burn because of this antibiotic...

I hope everyone has a great hump day!!

Darrah... when is the new harry potter coming out?

Great job Linda,

I cant wait to get below that 200 mark.  I dont have to long to go.  I hope before summer is out.  I dont think I'll make it before my one yr mark.  Yesterday was my 11 month mark and I was 217...started out at 394 the day after surgery.  That was my all time high.   Yesterday since I didnt feel like doing anything Andy took me to a restraunt that we went to all the time before my surgery.  I could barely fit in the booths the last time we were there.  I felt like such a skinny person yesterday....I had so much room...Im talking lik3 over 10 inches between my belly and the table.  Its so amazing what this surgery has done for me and my family.  I love living again....even with the posion ivy!!!! Please everyone keep me in your prayers today becouse Im on my way to Indy for a job interview this afternoon.  Im so scared I'll either be itching so bad or so snowed from all the anti-itching meds I wont be able to focus.....

Thank you ladies for your support.  I just now got back from Indy.  Andy went with me and we had a pretty good day.  We had a great steak dinner at the Longhorn Steak house on the way home.   The interview went great.  I think I will really love the job...just dont think Im going to like the commute.  Ive never had more than a 5 -10 min drive to work.  So this will be a huge change for me driving to the big city... I have a week to think about it and let them know if I will take it or not.  Its right near the Circle center mall in the IN board of Heath building.  One block from the Circle itself.   I also talked to Gail today.  She is doing so great.  It was the first time in 9 months shes sounded up beat and looking forward to whats ahead.  The band had slipped down to her small intestines.  She been walking laps since last night.  She may be in the hospital for a week or more but she'll know more tomorrow.  Shes on tube feedings right now but will be prgressing in a week or so.  She thanks everyone for their help.  I'll keep u all updated when I know more.  Im so happy she finally got the help shes needed for over 6 months.   My posion ivy pain is starting to fade and Im finally getting some relief from all the itching.  It still looks bad but Im feeling better.  I think those shots are finally helping.  Thank you Lord for that!!!! Good morning everyone!

We had such a good time at Holiday World...and Lake Rudolph is terrific! Next trip will be June 22-24. It's to Kentucky Kingdom.

And next activity???? My daughter & I are hosting a Pampered Chef party next Tueday (the 19th) at 6pm at my house. Would love for you all to come! I'm asking guests to fix 1 dish that is/could be made with Pampered Chef. Usually, the consultant does the cooking but I told her that since most of the people invited will have had bariatric surgery, that we'd take care of that part. I thought it'd be another opportunity to share your favorite dish. So...let me know if you'd like to come..k? I have only heard from one person so far (Brenda...looking forward to seeing you..as always!). You don't have to be a post-op to come!!! And haven't met anyone yet? Well...as good of a place to start as any! Sherri
