It's Friday,  it's Friday      Just me doin' my Friday dance.  Can't wait for the weekend!   I'm plannning on holding the furniture down to keep it from floating up to the ceiling.  It's a tough job but someone has to do it. DH has a conference in Orlando the first week of July.   I am tagging along and we are going down early to spend a couple of days at Disney before he has to attend meetings from sun-up to sun-down.  Poor me, I'll have to lay by the pool all day! This will be the first "vacation" for us for a long time.  Last summer we were too involved in the remodeling. Hope y'all have a great weekend.

Good Friday Morning Everyone!!! Sounds like you have a busy summer planned Sherri... Goodness... we just want to go camping one time.   We have one dog that we could take and the other one we're going to have to board she's too nervous and jumpy and if she got away she would run off so we're going to try and go on a weekend where we can board her and take the other one the problem is with my husband not having a job yet and me on unemployment things ar ea little tight, all I can say is thank Goodness I had this surgery because now my food bill is non-existent.   I hope everyone has a fantastic and safe memorial day weekend!!!  Since my pool opens tomorrow that's where 'm going to be ALL day.. David's allergies are REALLY bad and he has finally gotten sick from them.  SO we were supposed to go to Carb Day today and see Kid Rock perform but that's out now.  David is stuck in bed and feels like crap.. and since we don't have insurance he can't go to the dr for antibiotics... Hopefully my sister can get me some from the dr's office she works at... she's been getting us his allergy pills but they're not working anymore i think he's going to have to start the shots when we get insurance.  Tonight my step sister graduates high school so I'm going to that and i bought the CUTEST dress to wear to go.  I found a store in Speedway called Simply Fashioins and most things in there are 9.99 and lower or the dresses are around 11.00 it's cheap anyways and this dress is like a 50's summer dress, and I still may be big but I look damn good in this dress and I can't wait to wear it...  Tomorrow like I said I'm going to be at the pool with a good book, so I'm also going to the used book store today to trade in some of my paperbacks, that's all I've done since I've been off is read... I'm a book geek I guess.  I read three books yesterday and half of the Order of the Phoenix... GEEK... Sunday I'm going with my mom, sister and grandma to the cemetaries to put flowers on our families graves.. every year we do this.. most of the people we put flowers on I never met, but they are my family and helped make me what I am today and for that i want to honor them... Monday it will be back at the pool and basically since I"m not working I'll be at the pool every day I can until Labor day...  I'm down 49 lbs now.. ONE MORE LB and i'll hit the 50 mark.. I can't wait so excited.. My weight loss has slowed way down in the past two weeks but I've lost quite a few inches my clothes are starting to hang on me and I'm ok with that... I'm down in my 20's now and I was in a 30 so i'm alright with not losing weight as long as I"m shrinking... I need to start my running program.  I have this mental block against succeeding it seems.. I know it will help but I am literally scared to start it, and I'm not scared that I will fail I'm scared that I will be able to do it.. how stupid is that.. I need to just tell myself that I'm an idiot and go do the damn thing and get it over with.. It's not there is no other goals after I start running I can start working on distance and speed and all that.  SO I am going to start that and I'm going to start swimming laps.. Well now that I wrote a novel... hope everyone has a great day.. Take care all Peace Love chicken Grease Jessyca

Hi everyone,:wave; I am sooo hoping for rain- my poor garden is drooping like crazy! My daughter & SIl from Minn. made it in at 7;30am. and had some "excitement" on the way- a deer ran in front of them (only 10 mi. from home) and they wrecked the front of there NEW car- then in Iowa they hit a raccoon! Poor kids- just got her car & this happens! It is a little Sion, and they will have to take it back to the twin cities to get it fixed. Atleast they weren't hurt, and it is drivable. They are staying till Mon. so we will have lots of visiting time & graduation. The other thing they brought is their puppy- he's a 6 mo. old short hair  small chiuawawa, cute as can be, and spoiled! He's a barker- and they plan to take him camping with us- yikes!! I hope I have enough ear plugs  for Dana, hee~hee!! Sherri, I admire you for planning your trips- make sure to have your reservations in early 'cause they fill up quick. We tend to go camping Sun. afternoon to Thurs.- less of a crowd, and alittle cheaper for St. Parks. We camp by the seat of our pants- so far our trip to Iowa/Minn. for 10 days June/July, and the OH Campout  in August is all we've settled on. Dana isn't into rollercoasters ( not with our bad backs) so he likes to go to State Parks. I like the shows. We will probably end up at Whitewater, Raccoon, or back up to Pokehogan this fall. I like to go where there is a swimming pool, he likes fishing, and we like to walk the trails.Plus, I take lots of books to read & my tea or coffee-ahhhh.  When are you thinking of going to the Nashville Opery? We saw Collin Raye a few yrs. ago- it was so good- and LOUD!! We've been to quite a few shows there- always good, clean fun! Plus, the Inn has great rooms and we enjoy going there for breakfast or lunch. Even tho we camp, this girl is on vacation -too!I'm not doing all the cooking & cleaning all the time! Oh boy, my stomach doesn't like the Carafate- one of the side effects is -Oh yuck- I hate having to run to the bathroom every few minutes. I finally took Imodium  to help my tummy settle down.I know it is helping my ulcer heal, but I hate to have to run to the bathroom all the time. Gotta go to the grocery, and pay those pesky bills, so everyone have a great day- come on rain!! (((hugs))) Ellen

Jessyca, Unless you like being around drunks throwing up on each other, young kids body surfing and knocking out people and of course the constant flashing of breast then you didn't miss alot.  My husband and I went to Carb Day, watched the Freedom 100 then went to sit by the stage and wait for the concert.  I have been looking forward to this for months, couldn't wait.  I knew what kind of crowd he was going to attract but wasn't prepared for the constant flow of drinking that all the crowd was doing.  When you have that many people drinking for 3 hours or more straight you are bound to end up with trouble.   We stood for hours and couldn't even get that close to the stage.  But as it got closer all these people thought they would just come in squeeze in front of you and head for the stage.  God, it was awful you were standing shoulder to shoulder.  That part I expected, but when it hit 3 o'clock and the crowd started getting really rowdy, I knew things weren't going to be good.   Like I said earlier, this poor lady literally got knocked out by some young boy who decided to body surf the crowd.  Of course him and his posse took one look at the girl they knocked out and said, "let's get out of here". Then the guy in front of us threw up on all his friends.  People started pushing and mouthing each other and it was a little unnerving to be around.  Guess I'm getting old.  When Kid came on stage I couldn't even see him.  The sound was really bad also.  So people kept trying to get closer.  My husband and I looked at each other and said you wanna go?  Yeah, let's go.  The concert started at 3:30 and at 3:45 we and several other people were headed out.  On the way out some guys were mouthing at each other as they passed in the tunnel.  Then all of a sudden you see the other guy coming back up the tunnel and jumped the guy from behind and started punching him.   To much for me.  I just wanted to see Kid Rock and have a good time.  Didn't happen. Sherri, More mature----------------yeah that works.  I like my country also.  Kid Rock is kind of like a guilty pleasure type thing.  I like to listen to his music, but wouldn't want my kids (if I had any) to listen to them.  His language and lyrics are a little rough.  I kind of put in the CD and close the windows on the car.  I prefer light rock, country, blues stuff I use to listen to in the 70's.   Sounds like you and Bill have a big summer planned.  Dave and I like to go to the Speedrome also.  It's about 20 miles from my house.  We also do SCCA solo racing on the weekends they have them.  Then we like to spend time with out families in the Cincinnati and East area also. Cleaning the RV doesn't sound fun, but using it sure does.  ENJOY! and be safe.

Pauletta, The Speedrome is about 5-6 miles from our house. We're curious...what is SCCA solo racing??? Are you planning on going to the 3 hour? It is the one race that I don't miss! Guess I'm bit by the Figure 8 bug! Watching it..NOT driving it! We also enjoy the RoadRunners. We've talked about maybe going out to the track tonight or tomorrow. If you & Dave plan on going anytime, give me a call. Maybe we can meet you guys there. Or shoot, post it on here. I know there's other Losers who love it there too (Donna Clark's sons & husband race there, and I know Dawn & Mark enjoy it there). We just prefer watching these locals who have alot of heart than some Big shot in a souped up expensive car going around in circles (boring!).  Hmmm....guess I'm not a TOTAL Redneck, huh? I may not love Nascar or have a pickup truck...but I do love watching the small track cars & enjoy my country music (which yes, is an awfully similar to the 70's 'rock' I grew up on!). Sherri

SCCA stands for Sports Car Club of America.  They are a national group.  They have national events in road racing, rallys, solos.  They also have local divisions all over the country.  You can find out more at http://www.indyscca.org/index.htm for local and it has links to national and regional.   Here is a description of Solo racing:            Solo is the SCCA brand name for autocross competition. Solo events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. It is like being in a movie chase scene, only you are holding onto the steering wheel instead of a box of popcorn! Locally we use the old stadium on 16th street (just down the road from the speedway), Mt. Comfort airport, Grissom Air Base in Peru and Walesboro.  They are fun and open to everyone to watch or participate.  You don't have to be an SCCA member to have fun. We are thinking of hitting the Speedrome tonight. Pauletta
