Wednesday Roll call
Good morning!
Off to breakfast and knitting! For those of you who work, it's Hump Day and the week is half over.
We have eaten fresh for years. You can still get overweight that way, but it takes more work But laughing aside, I do think we are healthier ( and now we are thinner than before). We shop the edges of the store, like someone said the other day and don't use processed or packaged food. About the only canned foods we eat are tuna and black beans (not together).
Have a great day folks!

Sunday we went to the Logan Square Farmer's Market and then last night we picked up some things from the steam table and salad bar at Mariano's in the loop. I have been figuring out two things one is called Git and the other is called GitHub. This is a lot like DOS mixed with double entry bookeeping techniques.
Pantry this morning then home to goof around.
Hi Connie and all my Cheeky Monkeys,
Well, I am so looking forward to this day. It is supposed to be 40 and I get to see my grand-babies!
I am working out early and then I am heading over to orland park to see the little ones. Who knows what the day will bring, but it will all be good.
I went to house group last nite and it was so very yummy as always. This particular group is women and I love these ladies like my family.
Gotta run...............
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
I am still working with those God awful auditors. Their requests know no bounds....hahaha. They gave us a huge list of invoices last week to pull checks and backup...etc. Well there were about a dozen of the invoices they gave me that haven't been paid yet. Well I had to find out when they are getting paid. They gave me this task toward the end of the day so I am scrambling with a coworker to put together a spreadsheet explaining why/where payment is for each invoice....geeze Louise!!!
I didn'****ch the State of the Union thing last night. I always watch the highlights of those things the next morning. I am sorry to say but that stuff just bores the bejesus out of me!!! When I got home from working out and cleaned up. I settled in with my dinner and watched my favorite comedy...Big Bang Theory reruns, while I was messing with my iTunes and iPod. I am trying to get stuff deleted and it is really hard to delete music off once it is on your iTunes!!! I am also re-organizing my music. I am re-doing my playlists. I have playlists for rock, hard rock, alternative, r&b, funk/rap, classical, 60's, 80's, 90's, 2000-newer, older, assortment, easy listening, love songs, workout 1, workout 2....theres lots of over lap. like some songs are on 2-3 lists...but that's fine. When I was doing these lists...I kept thinking of Amanda. Amanda is very musical...she was almost a music major at U of I. she is a very accomplished musician actually (I didn't know if you all knew that...she plays several instruments..oboe, bassoon, english horn, drums, guitar, piano). But when I put together my first play list we were arguing because she disagreed with how a categorized the music. Every time I put a song some where she would say "that is not rock...that's alternative" and I would say "keep your nose out of my iPod!!!"....hahaha!!! We weren't really arguing. We do this thing where we sorta yell/nag/make fun of each other in a playful way. We still do it just 3000 miles away from each other!!! I love our relationship...it was always a mother/daughter (I was never the mom that was more of a friend) relationship but we are playful and goofy with each other.
Well another day of work and working out...but I am going to stop at Walmart on my way home..That's it for me.
Time to finish getting ready. See ya all later...have a good day...bye
Happy Hump Day Everyone!
The day is starting out looking like a good day! It was light even before I left for work! Spring is coming! Today I have work and then I get my hair cut. Then off for home. Last night I watched the State of the Union address. I am with Crystal, I usually do no****ch that but was too lazy to change the channel. It was a lot of good promises. I just hope they will come to see fruition. I thought the counter person was horrible. I think he is off in a cloud somewhere. I did not agree with him at all! I cannot understand why he is for all of these big corps and CEO's making mega bucks while the middle class disappears. He made it sound like taxing them fairly and eliminating their tax loopholes would be a sin. Sigh.
That is why I dont like politics. They are so far apart on everything and no one wants to give. Plus I dont always follow anyones logic.
Connie, you are up and about early today. Sounds like you have a day full of activities planned.
Sharon, I love the small groups of church. They can be so meaningful. Have fun with those grandbabies today and spoil them well!
Crystal, you are so lucky to have such a meaningful relationship with your daughter. My mom and I had that kind of relationship and it was so nice.
Randy, it sounds like you are busy as well.
Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning All,
Last night we went to Bloomington, to Morgan 's winter Choral Concert. It is sad, because Monica said that the Choral department is going to loose part of the department next year, due to budget cuts. I really feel that the students need these programs for a well rounded education. Other school districts are also going to lose funding for some programs.
Wedding countdown is beginning. My Annette gets married in 5.5 weeks.
No big plans for today. Survivor starts tonight, and I am going to stay home to watch it.
Sharon, have fun with your grandbabies today.
Connie, have a fun day with your knitting.
Nancy, Cats are people too.
Wheat is in everything, including soups.
I do try to go organic and wheat free.
Hugs,
LISA
Lisa- I agree the Arts are very important in expanding young minds. Not to mention they have done study after study that shows that kids that participate in music do better in math...Hello??? But I'm sure the Athletic department is well funded. It's a shame they always put football before choir/drama/band.
We were lucky that the community that we lived in felt the same way about the Arts as I do. Not to mention they were very proud of our Marching band...it's one of the top high school marching bands in the country. We were chosen to go to the Rose Bowl Amanda's junior year...only 12 high school bands go every year. And we came home with 14 trophies...including the grand champion trophy (that trophy is taller than me and I'm 5'9") the year we went to Disney for their music festival...over 50 high schools from around the country participated. So what I am saying is that the town take great pride in our band and fund it very well!!!
I have been very busy. I have all my "band" issues in check. I have even lost 13.8 pounds since I was at the dr in December. Even though the band has no fills in it, I still have restriction, I have noticed. This helps keep me in check. I had a 1.5 oz burger with diced mushrooms in it for moister today and that went fine. I then had an oz of grilled chicken and it is causing me lots of discomfort. Next time I will chew more I do believe it was my fault. It's just I have the bus here shortly to drive and nothing worse then to have an hour of trying not to loose your lunch.
March 2nd I will have been banded for 6 years. Where did the time go? Lots have happened in my life since then. Lost my stepdad, a sister in law and her sister, my grandma and my only sister.
Oh Chicago friends, I will be up in Wheeling on February 22 nd till February 24 th what is good to eat at around the Westin Hotel? My grand daughter is coming up to a dance convention and I am her and her mommies driver since they don't have a descent car.
Gotta run my alarm just went off to tell me time to go drive the kids!
Have a Happy Day!
Karen
