Hello everyone

Well it's Friday Eve!!!! Yeah!!!

I have no plans today, except work. 

It looks like it's going to be a rainy Labor Day weekend....but I had no real plans.  I found out there's a dollar theater here in Joliet that plays old shows...I am going to see if a friend of mine wants to join me to see a movie.  That's it for me...how about you???

Nancy- how's your niece (was it your niece?) doing down in the hurricane area?  I hear the flooding in some areas are getting much worse than expected.

I love that old theater in Joliet. It is so clean and reminds me of what it was like to go to the movies when I was kid (100 years ago)

I cannot believe how fast the weeks are flying by and how dark it is getting at 7p

Today, I am going to run a few errands and do some things around the house. Since I am still hoping to downsize I have started posting on Freecycle. I am amazed at how many people want my stuff. I love freecycle. It is, by far,  the easiest and quickest way to get rid of stuff. 

Later, I am going to visit my inlaws. My father-in-law is not feeling good. They live in the heart of Chicago, so I will be on my way.

Hi everyone!

I made a great pizza last night with thin eggplant slices, mushrooms and gyro meat. I had bought the fresh dough at Metcalfe's in Madison. I'm not in the habit of cooking yet since Kay did all the cooking when I was working. I know how to cook but don't always want to.

Today we probably will go back to the Fold to get some knitting needles and see what is on sale. Otherwise the day isn't structured. Don't have many plans for the three day weekend. Maybe we will connect with some friends for breakfast.

No changes here on my home front, just went back to driving the bus on Monday.  Hubby may be able to return to work maybe with-in the next week or so. I will need a good week end of sleep when he gets back to work to catch up from where he snores so bad!  Been a long 2 months, that is for sure. I lost some weight while he has been home, but at the moment it seems to have stop, will need to shake up the exercise I think! 

 

Waiting and hoping for all the rain that is being called for, since my well is low. I may be driving to Iowa on Labor Day to deliver my hubby to his work, keeping the fingers crossed!

 Afternoon Everyone

I am late today.  We were busy today.  I talked to my niece last night and she is ok.  Just lots of rain.  She stayed with a friend in the French Quarter and they did not even lose power.  They did lose cable so she is bored lol.  She spent yesterday in her shop reorganizing things.  One of her dreaded put off chores so she really must have been bored.  She went home yesterday during a break in the rain and other than a fence that came down and a downed palm tree, there was no damage yet.  Glad to know she is ok.  

I started a 4 day weekend this weekend.   and only work 3 days next weekend.  Sounds like a plan to me.  No special plans for the weekend.
