Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

It's so hard to get on here now.  I will try harder.  Well today is Friday!!!!  And it's my birthday eve!!!! 

My weight loss is going well.  I have lost 29 pounds since March 24th!!!  I'm wearing a size 22, which is great considering this time last year I was wearing a 28.  I'm excited but also very impatient.  I want to see these changes when I look in the mirror.  But all I see is the "fat" me, I don't see the weight loss at all.  Also I'm  under 300 pounds too!!!  Yeah!!!  this was a big milestone for me.  I haven't been below 300 in 8 years!!!

On another note my daughter is miserable.  She hates it out there and is very homesick and lonely.  There isn't anyone for here to hang out with.  She said the guys just want to sit around and drink beer and she doesn't fit in with them.  The one other girl is on opposite shifts than she is on so they don't see each other much.  But she is determined to make through the summer.  This is a very prestigious internship and would look very good on her application for grad school.  She is rethinking the Peace Corp.  Of course I miss her so much.  This year I have only seen her 2 weeks.  Thats not enough

 Happy Birthday a day early Crystal!  I am sorry your daughter wont be there to celebrate it with you.  It is hard to have her so far from home, especially when she is so unhappy.  But, remember how those first few weeks as a freshman in college were.  Unfortunately she will go through this whenever she is in a new place.  

Congratulations on the weight loss!  I know what you mean about not being able to see it.  125 pounds later, I still see a fat me.  Of course I am still 100 pounds over weight so I am still fat.

Got to scoot and get packed and out the door for conference.  I wish you were going to be there but I haven't seen you saying you were coming.

I am so sorry about your daughter disliking her internship. But she comes from someone with a good work background, so she will make it until the end of summer.

To everyone going to Rosemont this morning, Take your time getting there. There is construction on all the major highways and interstates. Please be careful!

I will be getting there tonight. Probably after 9. DD couldn't get off work early and she works until 5. Then by the time she gets here, and we leave, I am sure if will be close to 7.

Yesterday was another expensive day for us. We had to get the AC fixed in the van. $450. later...................Anyway, it should be fixed.

Have a few errands to do this morning, Then get ready for Rosemont. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I think Christine and Dave will be there. Maybe we can find out why she hasen't been on.

If you aren't coming to the OH Event, you will be missed. For everyone who will be there, I will see you either this evening or in the morning.

Hey, Crystal, it's my "birthday eve," too! June 13 rocks! Growing up, they'd always show which celebrity was born on what day, etc. and I think we share the day with Milton Berle. LOL.

My husband and two DSer friends will be coming to the conference tomorrow, so I will look for you all.

Good Morning!

Just a quick check in to say I am so looking forward to this weekend and can't wait to see everyone!  I am bringing my camera so I will post pictures so all who can not attend can catch up with all our good friends!

As for me, I am just eating something and then will be heading out the door for the OH event.  I am one of those helping with the clothing exchange...I'm hoping that I can find a few things for me there too!  I don't own a sweater that fits me either, so I hope I won't be freezing all weekend.  I have on jeans and a t-shirt to be doing the exchange and then I brought some nicer tops for the evening and tomorrow.  They are long sleeves, so hopefully I'll be okay.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and making lots of new friends too!!  We'll miss those who can't make it too!  :-(

Feeling quite a bit better today.  Almost normal.  I went down to the mailbox and back by myself last night.  I will miss the OH conferance.  The vertigo came on me so quickly and violently that my wife who is a trained EMT and myself who started on ambulances when I was 16 did not know what it was though inner ear was definately my primary thought.  Since I had the stress echo earlier last week one fear was that somehow something got stressed in the sinus system that sends impulses to the heart.

Well....Maddie and I are going to the pool.  Hopefully I can get a little more tanned before tomorrow!  I can't wait to see ya all!  As far as the "fashion show" goes, I'm going to be a dare devil and wear by bathing suit!  I guess this will be the only time I can say that I was a swim suit model on the run way!!!  LOL  Sometimes I think I'm crazy!!  Well, enjoy the beautiful day and stay safe!

Kim should I join you in modeling bathing suits!!!!! I could wear my 2 piece and really wow them!!!! I dont think so!!!!! I have a 2 pieces for posterity!!!!!
