Tuesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I have a typical day...work, work and more work.  After work I have to run over to the DMV to renew my license. 

Well we were told us yesterday that the company is instituting a 4% pay reduction...which isn't much but it's the point.  These people just keep cutting pay.  You know eventually they will cut jobs.  I'm almost hoping they will cut my job...almost.

Well no more complaining.  My daughter is really enjoying herself.  I am really glad.  Sunday I was so very bored.  I had nothing to do. Summer will be boring without her.

Crystal, I am sorry to hear about the pay cut.  That hurts.  Especially as prices continue to rise.  

I missed roll call yesterday as I overslept by an hour.  I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how that happened.  I must have slept through the clock radio and kept hitting the snooze button.  Must have been tired.  

No special plans for today.  Just work and home.  I found out that next week I am working the closing shift and wont get home until 7:30.  At least it is summer but always feel like the evening is shot by the time I get home.  At least I have Thursday and Friday off for conference and Dr. appointments.  So it is only 3 days.

for me off to work then home, tanning was fun yesterday only did 10 min , don't want to burn this white skin I will go again tomorrow,

I'm not sure what we are doing today.  The girls want to go downtown but it calls for rain all day and a high of 63 and it will be even cooler by the lakefront.  So, I' don't know what we will end up doing.

Crystal - Sorry about the pay cut but it beats layoffs.  Be careful what you wish for, there are no decent jobs out here right now.  I would have gladly taken a pay cut vs losing my job back in March but they did not give me that option.

Good Morning.

Crystal, a 4% paycut stinks, but it is better then no job at all, They cut my DH hours, by 5 per week. That was all time and a half. And he is a manager.

We are getting some sun at this time. I know its suppose to rain.

Yesterday, I didnot get any of my running done, so today I need to get out of the house. I also have some appointments set up for late this afternoon.

Good morning all.  Sorry to hear about the pay cut.  But like everyone else points out, this is not the time to get laid off.  I am wearing my new size 36 pants!  I cannot ever remember having size 36 in my adult life.  One of our cats disappeared for 24 hours and we were in fear that we would never see her again.  She has never been out before.  But last night we heard her meowing from under our deck and after an hour of calling in the rain, I remembered that there is a window in the basement that opens under the deck.  She was near the window and I was able to grab her and get her in.  So all is back to normal.  I can hardly wait for the weather to get warm so we can enjoy the pool!  When will the rain ever end???

Paul, I think the gods are against us to use the pools this summer. It will probly warm up when I need to go back to work in July!

Good morning!

I am looking forward to working about half the day today and then having some time with some friends.

We had pork last night and it got stuck even though I ate slowly. I find that so frustrating, but I have noticed that the slower I eat the better I feel, so I am making an effort in that direction. Even after all this time, it's hard.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Crystal sorry to hear about the pay cut, but without any other options available, I guess it is the lesser of the evils.  Hang in there, I know how much you dislike your job, but it IS a job.  I lost 20% of my pay at the beginning of the year when our hours were cut, and I understand, believe me!

I am at the aforementioned workplace for the day then I need to run some errands.  We need bread and milk and David has decided he wants to dye his hair blue for the last day of school.  I am going to check out Sally Beauty Supply at lunch to see what I can do to spend his money.  If it turns out bad, he will just have to cut his hair.  I guess he could want worse things........

I am looking forward to the conference and will be sending off an email to Kim at OH here pretty soon to see if I can get any last minute instructions.  This will be a great little vacation for me and the rest of you, I hope!

It is cloudy here and I hear we are looking for more rain.  Since my planting is finally done, I don't really mind too much.

Tomorrow is our last day of school so I take a big pay cut! DH isn't getting many miles either as a long haul truck driver, so we have been hit twice!  I do hope things pick up for him. Last week he brought home lease then I spend for a bandster in grociers in a week! So that sucks! I will make it though. I will get a small unemployment check, it will take 3 weeks or so to start.
 
I just love the weather it's not raining at the moment, its sunny and cool. I think 61 is great.

I do feel better today, I don't know what was wrong but for 2 days it was aweful.

Ok I am counting the days to the OH Event. I see where the folks from Indiana has requested a table so they can all sit together. I think that would be awsome.

Well I hafta get my floors mopped, while Abby's napping!
