Anyone with bcbs/il NOT have to do the 6 month supervised diet

I was wondering if anyone who has BCBS/IL did not have to do the 6month supervised diet.

I had RNY in 2005 and I need a RNY to DS revision. I have 15year history of personal dieting with dates/weights/how much lost/what I did.

I wouldnt have thought you'd have to do all that again... Didnt you have to that the first time around??? If not and they're asking for it,, theres no way around it.

I do not know what the criteria is for a revision.  When you call them to ask, make sure that you stress to them that this is a REVISION of a former surgery.  Sometimes they do not listen too well........lol!

I did.  I have BC/BS and did NOT have to have a supervised diet.

Every time i call the insurance company, i seem to get a different answer or they are being very vague.
