Good Morning Illinois,

It is going to be a great day today for the last unofficial  spring Saturday, heading into the unofficical start of Summer.

What does everyone have planned for today and the weekend?

I am heading into my last week of work for this program year, I will have 1 month off, then work a month, then off again until Sept 2. Me happy. I love my job, but I love summer more.

I sen where Dave checked in. Now, if only Lucy would.

Today  I am taking a road trip with my 2 daughters and granddaughter up to Lake Geneva. Tomorrow and Monday I intend to stay home and try to do some extra things. Now, if I start on these things, I will see,

Have a great day, stay safe, drive safe.

Hugs,
 Lisa

We are planning a couple of meals outside in the garden, but otherwise it's a regular weekend full of knitting and taking it easy. Kay will be in the local garden walk on June 17 so she is focusing on getting ready for that. It's free and open to the public. (Last year most gardens got 1200 visitors!) Since she was in a smaller walk last year (pictures up here) she is in pretty good shape, but of course she can see all the flaws no one else can. Those of you in the area, come by.

I understand most of Illinois was navigating the Kennedy yesterday with their boats in tow.  Have fun, be safe.

 Morning Lisa and Illinois!

My plans today are varied.  I need to go run some errands and then I am home to enjoy the beautiful weather.

My netbook came yesterday and I found out that there are several open networks available without subscription active in my area.  So I will be playing with that today.  They are not a secured network, so I will not be using them to make purchases but I don't see a problem otherwise.

Tonight I am getting a new satellite TV system.  Dish Network came by the other night with a promotion special.  I can get 6 months for $32 a month and after that $%7 a month.  I am currently paying $71 with Direct TV.  I will get all new equipment.  So to me it is a no brainer.  My pills will be cut in half for 6 months and reduced thereafter.  Now my debate is whether to spring for an HDTV or wait until my regular TV dies.  Decisions, decisions, decisions.  I am from the old school of if it ain't broke, don't fix it so cannot seem to justify replacing a TV that still works.

Hope everyone enjoys this nice holiday weekend!

Hi Lisa and all my Illinois friends!

This weekend I have plans to barbeque and finish off de-junking the extra room.

I fired up the gas grill and looks like it will be ready - if I could just figure out where I put the grill, I bring it in for the winter and usually store in the kitchen and yet it was not there ???

On the closet cleaning , de-junking task I am mid way to completion.  I have my nice clothes ( that are too big) set aside for the clothing exchange at the OH event. Anyone know how does that work??  I have done three drops to Goodwill donation center, and given some stuff to a pal at work.
When I sit down for hours and sort through the miscellaneous I become convinced I am a shopaholic , semi hoarder. UGHHH - Facing it the first step right.

I have to visit Home Depot to get something to organize my crafts, sewing stuff and some better shelving for the laundry room.

For everyone traveling on the roads - wish you safe travels.

To everyone hanging out at home- Enjoy the 3 days :)
