Good Monday Morning IL, I am us early even on my day off, as the dogs did it again, they got on the table and ate a loaf of bread, Yesterday it was the trash all over the kitchen, they are being so so bad and more since I started working, I guess they are trying to tell me some thing,
and Yesterday we had a water leak in the basement so Jim who never fixed a pipe leak worked on that and he got it fixed, I am sure glad he is handy at fixing thing, I don't even want to think how much a plumber would have cost,
Well that is what happen in my little part of the world over the weekend
Now today I am running to Walmart and tonight to the Rockford support group meeting,
So what is going on in your part of the world,
Here's to a good week

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

I have a few minutes before my kids wake up...

Good morning! Hope you all have a great day. This week is supposed to warm up a bit--I can't wait!

This weekend, we hosted a mega-garage sale to benefit breast cancer research and treatment. I was wiped out, but pleased with the result--we raised more than $800 when all was said and done. Add this to the $1700 I already raised for the Avon 2-day want and I am VERY pleased. NOW I just have to do the incredibly hard part of walking almost 40 miles on June 6 and 7!! YIKES!

I too, have a support group meeting tonight. It's the DSer monthly meeting in Chicago. My surgeon, Dr. Rabkin, will be in town for this one. Should be a good one. (If anyone ever wants to come to the newbie info session about the duodenal switch, just PM me and I'll give you the info).

Time for my official monthly weigh-in. We'll see what his scale says, but my at-home version is telling me I have lost over 190 pounds in 15 months!! And, boy, have I gained a lot of wisdom and energy in that same time.  I have been eating great food, from fatty meats to decadent desserts, and my labs are really good so far--gotta love that DS!!

Have a great day!

Nicolle

Hi Nicolle-

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for raising the money you did for breast cancer research.  Breast Cancer runs very close in my family as I have had several aunts, my grandmother and sister all battle the evil.

Congrats on your weight loss.  You go girl!

Nicolle,
Great job on the weight loss!  I'm so proud of you!  You must feel wonderful!  I'm sure after walking 40 miles you will lose even more weight.  How are the kido's?  I can't believe school is getting out soon.  I'm looking forward to summer with Madison.  Have a great week and I'll talk to you later!

Thanks, Kim!

Yeah, I've been training for the walk, so every time I walk a few hours I think, "there goes another pound!" If I am able to complete the entire 39+ mile walk, I will be ecstatic. I am just hoping to do at least half of it.

Kids are great--busy with this and that. School lets out in a few weeks so I am looking forward to explorinng the city with the kids again this summer. Gosh, I love this city! I would like my kids to love it, too.

Take care!

Nicolle

Good Monday Morning.

I am shortly off to work. Officially I will be layed off on May 31, but I was already told that we will be working some during the summer. Thats OK, since, with SS, I can't get unemployment.

Yesterday, I planted the remainer of my containers, had a nice visit with a couple of neighbors, and cleaned up the patio and deck. Even got a bag of junk from the shed that needs to be tossed. I still need to finish the patio, putting out the table and chairs and stuff, but at least its clean.

Thats my world today. Now to get some stuff out to the DH that he forgot this morning and head to the office.

Stay safe, its gonna be a warm day, don't work to hard.

Hugs

LISA

Good morning,

Been a while since I checked in but felt like now was as good a time as any. Typical Monday morning here, not too many help-desk calls and I managed to get through my morning task. The most exciting thing going on today is the start of a 4 week weight-loss challenge at work with a couple of colleagues. I have been really slacking off this month and decided to join up for some more motivation. Almost at the 3 month mark for my supervised diet and only 14 lbs down from the beginning. I need to get my butt in gear and hit the gym. That is all for now, talk to you guys/gals later.

Thanks,
Omar
