Hello everyone

Well I have my daughter home.  We did so much work yesterday, my legs are sore.  Actually, I was surprised at how much work I did.  The years before I could only do so much and I would have to rest.  My daughter even remarked about how much energy I have now.  Although, I have only lost 21 lbs since the surgery ,I do seem to have more energy.  Oh and My daughter's apartment was so disgusting...yuck.  I scrubbed and scrubbed.  It was a biohazard.  I told her I might catch Ebola in her kitchen.  She laughed at that.

Here's some news my daughter has a boyfriend and I met him yesterday (ya I met him covered in dirt and sweat).  I like him, he is an English major and they really have a lot in common. They are so adorable together and he's so cute.  I'm happy for her.

Well today we are going grocery shopping and then we are relaxing.  Today is our "veg out" and watch movies all day.  Then tomorrow I'm taking the day off of work and we are going shopping.  We need to buy a lot of stuff for her summer internship.  We're going to Gander MTN.  Generally we are going to shop till we drop tomorrow.  I can't believe she is leaving Saturday.  I miss her already.

Well have a wonderful day.

I'm glad you are having a good weekend.

Good morning Crystal and all you sleepyheads!

I'm glad you are enjoying your daughter and her time with you. You have lost 21 pounds since your surgery....how great is that?  Remember slow and steady wins this race. You are losing two pounds a week...that is terriffic!!!! You are doing great!!! Do not loose sight of the goal.....

Vince's party was windy and cold. We were under a pavillion but there was no sun to warm things up.  Had to move it from the park to my daughters place. There it was warmer and less windy, even when we were outside it was warmer as the sun was shining on us.
Today I will be visining a friend in  the hospital and then we are going to meet my great niece. She will be a week old in the morning. I've seen her pictures and she is adorable.

Hope the rest of the weekend finds you all enjoying the weather and friendships. Have a great day!

Still pumping out the basement!
I will then maybe try and mow some of the jungle out there. The grass has grown so much in 1 week! I do have some more plants to get out today too. I have about 12 perennials I bought at Menard's yesterday! I also need to go get a few groceries. not much.
Enjoy the sun and have a safe Sunday!

Karen

Good morning!

It's a beautiful day here, even if it's a bit cool. I have several errands to run and a visitation to attend and I plan to enjoy the sun as I do all these things.

Kay and I are home for a while after going to Barbados, Tahiti and Europe this spring. We are a bit tired of suitcases but I have to say we had wonderful experiences and were both amazed at how easy we could walk around the cities. Even though we haven't lost all the weight we might want, we are so much more mobile that it's wonderful.

We will be at the OH convention in Chicago, and we are also going to Stitches in Sept, a yarn convention which is in Schaumburg. Any of you knitters, please join us. The yarn store there is about the size of Lowe's. It's almost overwhelming. We have been knitting a lot with our friends. I have made at least two dozen pair of socks and about five sweaters. Of course, traveling is a great way to knit socks!

Hope to see all of you in June. By the way, on June 17 Kay will be in the Rockford garden walk from noon till 8 if you are close enough or feel like a road trip. It's free and there are ten gardens, done by the owners.

Have a great day!

 Good Morning Crystal and Illinois!

Crystal, enjoy your time with your baby.  I am sure it will go fast!  I thought of you when I bought the Twilight series to read during my knee surgery recovery.  A friend saw them in my basket and said how great they were so cant wait to start them.  Now, if I can pull myself away from my facebook addiction to read.

Karen, I hope you can get your water out of your basement soon.  I haven't even looked to see how bad mine is.  I don't get inches but it does get wet.

Monica, you will do well with 2 teens.  I know you can handle it.

Dawn, hope you survived the overnigh****er park with all those teens.

Everyone have a great day.  Enjoy the

Good Late Morning Illinois.

I am trying to get inside things done, so, I can go out and finish planting some containers. They are huge, so I need to place them where they are going before I fill them with dirt, otherwise, I won't be able to move them.

Yesterday we went to DGD birthday party. It was outside too, and windy. At least we ate in the house. She was happy with what she got, as only an 11 year old can be. Can I say that I think I lost the remaining of my hearing from the screams of happiness.

I also went to Best buy and looked at a netbook. They are nice, and they have the wireless card inthem, but I am cheap, and I don't want to pay for an air card at $59. a month. So, I will remain stuck at my desk. And yes, I do know that the card can go from puter to puter, but with 2 of us using the home base one, it won't work it one of us is gone with the card.

Everyone have a great day today, and a better one tomorrow.

Hugs,

Lisa
