Thursday Roll Call

 Good Thursday Morning!

I don't think everyone is still asleep, but I do think we may have some people too shy to start roll call today.  It is almost 8am and no one has started a daily roll call and we cant let that happen!

After getting drowned here yesterday, today promises to be a sunny day.  We had 1 3/4 inches or rain since midnight and had has about the same yesterday.  I am about ready to build an ark!

I am still home from work.  This darned stye is not going anywhere.  I went to the eye doctor.  He gave me meds but would not open it.  He is making me wait 2 more weeks before he will do anything. GRRRR!  I did not realize just how much vision I had lost until I saw that I could not read the eye chart with the eye that has the stye.  Any home remedies out there?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Nancy and Illinois!

Today I'm going to pick up the new microwave I ordered on mothers day. My old one is acting up. The door is the problem. Then I've got to stop and buy birthday and anniversary cards for the rest of the month.
Going to the gym tonight. Not much else on the agenda for the day.

Enjoy the sunshine and have a great day!
Carol

Now, you know how Dave and I feel with the water from the heavenly skies.

It is raining here today and we are not sure what we are going to do. It is supposed to let up and there be just a 30% chance of rain for the rest of the day. We do want to walk through the old town mansion district which is just about 4 blocks away from us.

How about hot, moist compresses for the stye?

Here is info I found on the net http://www.medicinenet.com/sty/article.htm and it has some great info. It recommends the hot, moist compress on page two of the article. It is not too often that they will lance them either so I do believe that your doctor was using the correct protocol to handle your situation.

here are some more sites with info

My mother was plagued with eye styes and used to hold warm wash rags on hers.  Not sure it helped but that is what she liked to do.

10:50 am and so few people are up and posting.  I was one that was in bed still at eight am. Some may be responders rather than initiators.

Went to the doc yesterday for my bp follow up and had 144/82 which the doc said was great since I had forgotten to take my meds yesterday morning.  First thing on my mind yesterday was making sure I called the HMO office to get a referal for my visit to the surgeon next week.  I should have done that Friday or possible Monday a week ago so I could have picked it up yesterday.  Now I am crossing my fingers they get it done before the appointment.  It is time to learn what the surgeon will have to say and what other docs I have to see in the next three months.

2.5 months before I can have everyone submit there paperwork to the IPA.

I really did not want to be in the docs office with the swine flu floating around.
