Tuesday Roll Call
Good morning kids.
What is new in your world today
Got through the windshield time okay. Had a couple of directions from the GPS that Dave questioned, especially in Cincie. It took us on surface streets and then far around when we could have gone a different way. Also told us to exit left and then suddenly told us to exit right, too late we were already on the left ramp. Dave used to travel to Cincie a lot and knows his way around. But we ended up getting each place. I am going to have to review the route choices I can program in it.
Going to Churchill Downs today for a tour. I do not think they race today as they changed their schedule and cut out a couple of days, the economy is affecting horse racing now. I find watching the ponies boring anyways.
Louisville Slugger museum is on the schedule this week as is Hodgenville where Lincoln was born and a lunch cruise on one of the Ohio river tour boats.
If someone else could do the Roll Calls for the rest of the week it would be appreciated.

I am up and at it. I have to be at work in a bit. I am not driving this week, but helping out on the handicap bus. I work a couple of hours, come home for a while, then go back and work a couple hours.

Christine, what, no report on Jungle Jim's? Did it leave you speechless??? I am so curious about that store. Hope the rest of your trip is not spent arguing with the GPS. I have heard of others who have to do that. Have fun at Churchill Downs. I really enjoyed my visit there.

My day is the standard thing, work and home and trying to run down my doctor. I am trying to get my protime test results from last Wednesday. It tells them if the blood thinner is at the right dose. I had a direct talk with the doctor a week ago about the reporting delays. Guess it went in one ear and out the other. Also am trying to get some medicine for a stye in my eye. I have had it for over a week and it is not coming to a head and is affecting my vision as it is so big. I've tried all the home remedies.

JUNGLE JIM'S - that store is enormous and the variety, WOW! But, you know what the prices are high compared to even the chains in the Chgo area and I am sure the rest of IL. It did not leave me speechless but a little awed with the variety. We have mentioned that if we lived near by we more than likely would not shop there on a regular basis because the prices are very high.
We keep telling the voice on the GPS, Yes Maam and okay, okay we are turning. The GPS is only as good as the person that has programmed the info from the ground level to the satellite and sometimes is sucks. We love the FM radio feature of upcoming traffic troubles and the speed limits for passing roads and seeing what streams, bodies of water and streets are coming up. In southern IN there are very few references in the graphics for streams - again the programming of the info.

Christine, It sounds like you have some great plans for the the rest of the week. Enjoy yourselves. The Roll Call will get done. There are enough of us early birds to do it.
I can sure agree with Nancy. I am trying to equalize my time between Facebook and OH. And not get on either to late at night.
I did plant a few more flowers last night. I will get the other planters done tonight. Then, I need to stay away from the garden center! Every year I swear I am not going to spend so much on flowers, and every year it seems like I spend more. And I have a fairly small yard!
It's off to work in an hour. Then, after work I have a couple of appointments that need attending to. I should be home by 5. The main parking lot at my Tuesday office is being churned up, they are putting in a whole new lot. That means, no parking and at least a 2 block walk from the other lot. Exercise, plus lugging a laptop, purse and extra bag
of stuff. Where would we be without our stuff!

Hello everyone
Nothing going on, same old, same old. I'm at work and I wish I was home.
My daughter will be coming home for a brief amount of time before going to her internship in Tennessee. I will pick her up from school Saturday. We have to clean out her apartment, pack her stuff, load everything on to the uhaul and take it to the storage unit. She is renting a beautiful old house next year with 3 other people. We will be running araound all day Saturday. I can't wait.

I have a busy day today. I'm doing marketing this morning then Outback tonight. I have to pick up a few items for Calvins golf trip and make sure he has everything packed and ready to go. He is leaving straight from work tomorrow. I swear it looks like it's supposed to rain the whole time he is out of town. I planned on playing in the gardens a lot. We shall see. You know the weatherman is not always accurate.

I am working today and happy that I get to go home at 2:30. I started digging out the violets that had taken over one of my front beds and I plan to finish that today after work.
I am starting my shopping list for things that I need to finish the gardens, sugar for pies and stuff for this weekend's overnight at the indoor water park with Liv and her friends. I will shop today or tomorrow.
Not too much else exciting going on here. It IS nice and sunny though which always helps everyone feel better.

This month is not going well for me at all. Way too many carbs and just cannot seem to get into a pattern. I am afraid to step on the scales anymore. I likely need to do an Atkins induction again but just cannot get myself psyched up to do so.
I miss Lucy, Dave and Paul posting regular. Others too I am sure. Come home prodigal children. Your sisters and brothers are sticking with me here but I need you as well.
