Saturday Roll Call
Good morning everyone. I am an hour ahead of you guys in this area of IN. The extreme SW and NW areas are in Central time and the rest of the state is in Eastern. Where we are at is just at the edge of the SW area near Evansville. We are in Huntingburg. It is a cute little town of about 6000 people and 3 movies were shot here. A League of Their Own shot here for the part about the Huntingburg Peaches. The stadium was and still is here. Just imagine an old fashioned minor league stadium but smaller and that is it. It rained like a SOB here yesterday. I see from yesterday's weather that for the most part my home area was dry.
We are going to hear Bob auctioneer today for a short while and then when they are done they are going to be the tour guides and we will just enjoy. It is pretty country down here and being so far south their peonies are blooming, azaleas are blooming and Mary already has fruit on her tomato plants. This area of IN has a small population of Amish in this county, called Jasper.
Tomorrow we are going to a place near Cincinnati called Jungle Jim's. We saw it featured on the travel channel. It has 6 acres of store. http://www.junglejims.com/index.asp
Seems that a lot are falling victim to Face Book, LOL. I am still a hold out.

I am actually typing here today, WOW. I have nothing planned, but may go try to find a dress for a wedding in June. Tomorrow, I have church, then taking some flowers out to my mom's grave. Monday I have a class all day for work. YIKES! Anyone want to go for me?

Good Morning Christine and the whole of Illinois,.
Christine, while you are around Cincinnati, there is a place called Rabbit Hash, Ky right across the river, that you and Dave might enjoy. Its a bit off the interstate, and I know during the summer you can get there by boat from the waterfront. Its just a bend in the road, with a general store, but, when we were there last summer, there had to be 1000 people there. Some were buying stuff, others were just exploring. It is well worth it.
Yes, where you are had really severe storms last night. We got none, except clouds. Its clear today. but cool.
I am just doing dishes, ok, the dishwasher is doing them, then I have a few chores to do, and am waiting for my kids to get here. The guys are working on another porch, and the girls and I are going to get flowers. Then we will have a cookout for lunch.

Last eve we had storms and a down pore again here in my neck of Illinois!
My DH goes to Evansville are alto, especially when he is coming back up from Georgia. I drove through the main drag of that wonderful town the year he had his bad accident to bring him home, because he said its quicker. Well mileage it was but speed was slower! Its like driving down 59 up north too many lights.I expect all the lights up north but not down that way. I actually was getting road rage! More because he was laughing at me because I was getting angry! LOL that was a very long time ago.
It is a very nice area out and around there.
Maybe the rains will go away and let the earth drink what it has!

Good Morning everyone!
It's a very windy day here in my neck of the woods. Not really good for planting planters..I don't want to be inhaling dirt! lol This morning Jacob and I are gonna go to a plant sale at the activity center to see what other plants we want. Jacob has his own garden spot that he loves taking care of, and it usually looks better than mine...little stinker! lol
Depending on the wind later, Mike and I want to dig out 5 yucca plants (they look like there's only 2 but they have multiplied rapidly) I also bought a burning bush yesterday at Lowe's that I want to get in the ground. It's gonna be a busy weekend it seems.
I hope all the mom's out there have a wonderful Mother's Day!!

Happy Saturday! I hope all of you enjoy your day. I have the usual weekend chores to do. Plus I need to get my front planters planted this weekend hopefully.
My head is spinning today. I called the doctor Thursday and said I wanted to go ahead with knee surgery. Friday I get a call back with a surgery date of June 16th and 4 other appointments scheduled for me! My ortho doctor sure does not let grass grow under his feet. Now if I don't chicken out.....
I am thinking of all that I will have to do to be able to manage alone. I will start stocking up on the non perishables as I shop over the next month. The cats will protest greatly if I run out of food or litter. And when they protest it is not pretty. LOL.
They are great at trying to help themselves.
