My name is Pam and I had lapband surgery on 4/6/09. I am down 35lbs and I'm looking for others who have had surgery in my area. I'm in Fairview Heights in Southern Illinois. But I'm a South Side Chicago transplant to the area 8 years ago. I had my surgery at Des Peres hospital in Missouri. Like to chat with others who live around me in the area and become support for one another.

I just wanted to tell you hi. I was from East St. Louis many many years ago, but I now live north. There are a few on the board from your area, I am sure they will answer when they can.

Hi Pam and Welcome to OH Illinois!

You and I had the same surgery a year apart. I'm down 75 pounds. I grew up on the south side of Chicago too! The people on this board are great even if they are not your next door neighbor. We are all in this together and have get togethers and support each other. Post on the daily roll call so we can all get to know you.

I had RNY almost 2 years ago, originally from Chicago Heights area but now live in Edwardsville IL. Im a student at SIUE and transplanted here 8 years ago. Its nice to meet you and look forward to hearing from you! Congrats on the surgery and weight loss!
