Friday Roll Call

It's Friday Hello everyone and good morning. We are just about off and running. The Willy Nelson song keeps going though my head - On the Road Again . . .  I met Willy here in Itasca in 2005 at Fish With The Cops, he is a neat guy and shorter than you think. And yes it is not another fish story as I have pictures with me and him.

We will put the last of the clothing in the car here in a short while and hit the highway shortly afterwards. I will have my PC while away so I will check in. Hope Randy checks in. There was a fire in a building near where he lives.

Hello everyone

Well this is a great day.  Not only is it Friday but I also lost 2 more pounds!!!!

Today after work I am going to visit an old friend I found on Facebook.  That Facebook is great, I found friends I haven't seen since I was 12.  My ex-sister in law came over last night and her husband is thinking about WLS.  So she had a lot of questions for.  I gave her this website, so I hope they check it out.

One more week till my daughter comes home!!!  I miss her lots.

I sucked another person into the Twilight books.  Before you know I will convert everyone...muwahahaha (that's evil laughter).

Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Christine and Illinois Friends.

Christine, travel safe, God be with you and have fun!  Hope the trip is relaxing and enjoyable.

It is Friday!    It is a full moon tomorrow so need I say more?  The people are really wacko around a full moon.  I was off on Wednesday and halfway through yesterday I was ready to go home again.  I hate full moons.  It brings out the beasts in people.

Well I made an important decision yesterday.  I overcame my being chicken and cried 'Uncle"  I made a date for a total knee replacement.  On June 16 the right knee gets done so I will be halfway there.  I will welcome less pain.  I cant believe I am actually doing this.  I was at the ortho doctor Wednesday getting a shot for the arthritis in my hand and started talking to the doctor and before I knew it I was saying I was ready.  Talked to my supervisor yesterday, called and set a date.  I am still trying to wrap my mind around all of this.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning my IL friends!

I have been MIA for a couple of days, just been really busy around here.  Tyler saw the Derm for his MRSA and she said that it's cleared up nicely.  He does have a higher than normal chance of it reoccuring, but at least we know what it looks like now.  He also saw the orthopedic Dr for his arm yesterday and had more xrays...it's not really healing yet, but he is to start using it for simple things like tying his shoes and doing easy, light every day things.  We are hoping that in 3 more weeks when we go back he will see the fragment of bone starting to fuse to the elbow, which it's not doing yet.

I got a bike the other day!  Tyler and Jacob saved up money and wanted to buy me one for Mother's Day.  So we went and got it and I took my first ride yesterday with Jacob.  It wasn't really long cuz dinner was almost done, but boy are my legs outta shape for that kinda thing. lol  I'm gonna keep it up though...

Today I am not really doing anything much.  Might have lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in a while. She really upset me last time I saw her, so I'm not sure what's gonna happen.  Tonight Tyler is umping a ball game so I will go and walk the path around the park there.  I have to brag on him, he's only 15 and this is his first "job"  he takes it very seriously and on Tuesday he umped a game and afterwards he went up to both coaches and told them what great sportmanship all the kids showed.  Much better than when he played in that league. (they are 9 and 10 yr olds).  Well as he was walking away the coach of the losing team asked him what his name was.  Tyler was very nervous because he thought that the coach was going to complain about the calls or something.  Last night Tyler's boss emailed him and said that that coach sent him an email letting him know that Tyler is an awesome ump and he did great at that game on Tues. I am so proud.  I watch those games and would NEVER want to be an ump!  lol

Oh well, gotta run, have a great day everyone!!

Good morning Illinois!

Got woken up early this morning by the phone ringing. My daughters carbon monoxide detector went off this morning and she had  to call 911. Of course now that everything is taken care of she has to call us to tell us all about it. Vince and Ava got to sit in the ambulance and ask hundreds of questions. Vince was excited because the fireman carried him back in the house. Thank God for co detectors, everyone is okay!

Went to the gym last night, today I need to vacuum the house.
No big plans for the week-end.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning All,

Christine, I assume you and Dave are gone already, so have a great trip and stay safe.

Monica, isn't it awesome when someone actually does say how great a child is.

Crystal, have a blast with your friend this evening.

Nancy, I am sending you a pm.

Nothing exciting today. I have a few errands to run. Maybe I can dodge the rain.

The kids are all coming tomorrow to help with the second porch. I am sure that will entail going shopping for a few more plants.

Have a great day and stay dry and safe,

Hugs,

LISA

Good morning Illinois!!!!

I hope Dave and Christine are having a good trip so far.

Nancy, I wish you all the luck in the world on your knee replacements.  You will be so happy to be pain-free.

Monica--glad to hear about Tyler on all fronts!

Crystal--have fun with your friend!  You are brave---I haven't really reached out to any old friends on Facebook yet.  Actually, there are not that many really old friends that I care to see again......

Lisa,  have fun with the porch and plant shopping.  I have to do the same as soon as I can carve out a few minutes.  I'm thinking of taking Sunday to beautify my yard and porch.

If I missed anyone, I apologize.

I am working today, and it turns out that I will be "holding the fort" alone all afternoon.  that might be a good thing, or not......we will see.  If I get too busy, they will just have to be patient.

We are throwing an impromptu graduation party for our neighbor who is graduating today with her Masters from NIU.  That should be fun.

Tomorrow, David has a Jamboree meeting, and the Scouts are going to paint the dugouts at the new high school athletic fields.

It is always an adventure out here!

Everyone have a spectacular day!

No fire here.  Did not even notice any fire trucks in the last 24 hours. I did mention to CB that I think folks run code 3 way too often up here.  Last night one cruiser could be heard running code 3 and way above legal speed even for code 3.  Everything west of us for a good ways though ends up running Golf or Higgins to Saint Alexius and the FD is just off of our street on Rozelle.  So we hear them all since we are up so high.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

We are here safe and sound. Got into Arthur, IL at about 815, had a small breakfast and back on the road. The state police were out in packs making traffic stops. Almost every major exit had cops each direction and were stopping what we guess were speeders. They were out from Champaign to Mt Vernon.

We have rain here right now. Need to get moving as my sister and her DH are on their way to pick us up for the evening.
