Surgery Went Great!
Hi All,
My surgery April 28 at Alexian Brothers with Dr. James Kane was a big success! I stayed until Saturday, since I live near Champaign-Urbana, IL, and he didn't want me to take off and head south so soon. Dr. Kane was everything some of you said he was - so patent, kind and his team the same.
I had a few things like a sugar elevation, a little short of oxygen and my blood was too thin, but they worked around it. The surgery is a big deal, but one that most can get through. Eight days out and I have lost 16, so I think that is OK. I go back on the 12th to have drain removed, etc.
Thanks for all the support - love reading your posts.

Hey Lisa!
How are you? I love The Kane Center. Although, out of all the people - Alexian included, I think Dr. Kane's nurse was the only one who needed to be a little nicer. But then, maybe it was me?!?
I think I am doing well, and that is is exactly how I feel.
I love Mary Engelbreit and have her daily calendar. The day of surgery it was her famous print called, Don't Look Back! I told my sister what could be more appropriate for the day?
Take Care,
Georgianna
