Tuesday Roll Call

Good morning kids in IL Land. Guess we are getting some more sun today. Thankfully the rain has abated for a short while. It is still a mucky mess out yonder in the back. We did get an automatic pump put in the pit which is a relief that it will be going off when needed when we are not here.

Have a hair appointment after work then need to run to the store for a couple of last minute items to take with and that is about it in a nutshell for me.

Hello everyone,

Well with all this nice weather I have been taking walks everyday.  YAY for me.  Believe me I don't feel like doing it I make myself. 

Tomorrow I have class at my surgeon's office.  Yes, we have classes we have to attend.  It will be interesting to see what I learn.  Not to mention it's an excuse to get out of work early!!!  That's always a good thing.  Along with the classes, I also get free access to the gym at the hospital.  So I am going to be asking about that tomorrow.  My plans are to go to this gym long enough to learn the equipment and get on a exercise routine and then join a gym close to home.  Joliet (Silver Cross Hospital) is 45 mins from home and is not worth driving there every day to work out. 

My daughter will be coming home soon.  But of course she will only be home for a week then she is off to the Smokey Mountains Natl Park for her internship.

Good Morning Christine and The Illinois Board.

Its to be another great day today. I am going to try to get some more flowers planted after work today. Of course,  it will depend on what time I can get out of the office too. Also have to stop at the bank and post office.

Other then that, I will be leaving for work in a while. Another day of helping people pay thier utilities. I will say that I have some great co-workers.

Hola Christine and Illinois Peeps!

What a beautiful day we had yesterday!  I went outside for lunch yesterday and did not want to come back inside.  But my supervisor woul not let me move my phone and computer outside to the patio.    So I had to spend the afternoon inside.  Sigh.  But it still was nice when I got home.  It is so nice to have the windows open and the fresh air coming in.  

The cats are so funny.  I was closing the curtains last night for bed and One hopped in each window so I would not close the window for the night.  They loved the fresh air too. 

Tonight is support group.  It's at 7pm for any of you in the area of LaSalle- Peru at the IVCH hospital.  So come on over!

Hey remember back when it was cold and freezing outside you were talking about having a get together out in Lasalle this summer.  I would love to have reason to go out there.  I really loved it there. 

I knew there was a reason I decided to keep a batch of refried beans, mexican rice and tortillias on hand this week.  Mango and banana smoothies too.

Good Morning!

I've been outside piddling around since 5:45a.. No, I did not run the mower or weed eater but I did get the fertilizer and weed 2 down while the lawn was still damp.  I've also just been pulling weeds and trying to get a good look at what is popping up in the garden.  My coffee should be just about ready and I'm going to go sit on the front porch.  I pulled the rocking chairs out yesterday.  Calvin bought me rockers from Cracker Barrell last year and I just love them.

I have to be at work at 10:30 and then again at 5 so I only have a couple more hours to enjoy some me time.

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

It IS good that the rain has stopped for now, but it is cloudy here in Rockford so far.  It looks like rain, but I had heard that it was not supposed to rain until tomorrow.  We will see......

After work, I will meet up with Todd for a funeral of a friend of his from when we first met.  It is very mysterious.....we had not heard from this gentleman for years, then after the funeral of our friend who was murdered in Feb., he called.  Then, Todd ran into him and his son a couple of weeks ago and another friend of ours talked to him last Tuesday.  He died "in his home" at 10 am on Thursday.  I think it is awful the number of funerals that we have had to attend lately......we are not THAT old yet.

I put some short ribs on the grill the other night after we were done cooking our dinner.  They will sit in the crock pot all day today and Liv will finish them off with a good drain and add some barbecue sauce after she gets home from school.  She will pick a veggie and starch and take care of dinner for tonight.

I got my herbs planted Sunday, but am holding off a little bit on the flowers as I just don't trust it not to frost again.  We will see how that works out.....

This Spring has had be out and about more than expected but the extra cash is always welcome.  Especially since my car is now old enough to need to be tested before I get plates in June.  I am hoping it will not need dollars spent to keep it legal but never know.  Does the actual inspection have a fee?  I do not see one on the big orange card.

I finished my paper work yesterday on the jobs I have done so far and it may be a day or two until the next one's parts are in.  I guess I will try to get a little C# study in.

Are you talking about emissions testing? If you are there isn't any fee.
