Good morning everyone. Not much going on in my world other than I slept in for once. I am also playing hookie from work. I am pretty beat and just need a day for myself. I think I will lounge around the house today and do nothing.

What is going on in your world today?

Hello everyone

I am soooo tired.  I stayed up too late again.  I really wanted to finish my book.  I couldn't sleep till I knew what the ending was.  So I guess I deserve to be half dead with sleepiness.  I do this all of the time.  I use reading as a way to unwind at night.  But often times it back fires and keeps me awake.

My boss won't be here today so it will be a relaxing day...or as relaxing work can be.

My daughter has yet another eye infection.  This is her third one in less than a year.  I told her she must be doing something wrong and she has got to be very careful with her contacts (of course after the infection is gone.  No contacts while she has an infection).

Well have a nice chilly day.

Good Morning Christine and Illinois Friends!

Christine, enjoy your day!  We all deserve days of playing hookie every once in awhile.  I ended up coming home at 11:30 yesterday because it was SLOW at work.  I was so bored.  So I had a nice day at home.

Today it is back to work.  Hopefully things will pick up.  We are always slow on Monday and it is the end of the month so peoples budgets are spent.

I had someone out to look at my driveway yesterday to do an estimate to concrete it.  I am anxious to see how much it is going to be.  It is 70 feet long and I never have liked the prices in the past but I am tired of gravel and mud puddles so I am ready to bite the bullet.  This guy is retired so maybe he wont be so bad.

No special plans for today.  I am giving myself a self talk this morning.  I have got to get back on track.  I ordered the Beck Diet Solution yesterday.  I have heard many good things about this book on other forums here.  Those old food habits are rearing their ugly heads again and I have to take control again.  The books should be here tomorrow.  So, I do hope they will help.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Nancy, do you live in the country or in town? In Itasca we have an ordinance that all driveways have to be a solid surface. Shop around for the best $ value per yard. Are you talking about a single or double wide for the 70' of drive? Make sure that they have the correct depth for the concrete also. The apron should be 6" and the rest 4".

I live in town, but we don't have an ordinance for hard surfaced driveways.  Mine is 70 feet long by 11 feet wide.  The guy I am getting the estimate from is coming highly recommended.  I am in a relatively small town so if you are not good, people will know it.  Thanks for the info.

Good morning Christine and the rest of IL.  I slept in till 6 today as it is my day off, the dogs on the other hand wanted me to get up a 4:45 so I took them down stairs and they both got locked up in the kitchen till I got up at 6, I told them last night that Mommy was sleeping in today and they would be in trouble if they got me up early but  you know how kids are . Any way for my day I am not doing much other then cleaning and doing some washing, I was hoping for some sun but it does not look like it is going to happen for me today,
Well hope everyone has a great day,
Janet

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good Morning my IL friends

Chris, enjoy your day off of work today, you deserve it!   Crystal, could your daughter have allergies that affect her eyes like that?  Jacob does, that's why I ask.  Nancy, what do you do for work again?  Glad you got a 1/2 day yesterday too!

I took Jacob to the Dr yesterday where we discussed his weight and they are running a ton of bloodwork on him and we are going to see a nutritionist that specializes in kids.  The Dr also gave us extra allergy meds for his eyes and nose, his allergies are horrible right now and he looks like he's got pink eye in his one eye from in.
I also got a call from Tyler's derm yesterday that the infection he's got under his arms is MRSA!!  yikes.  Luckily the meds they gave him last week are working on it and it's pretty much cleared up now.  I just can't win with things around here lately!  lol

I will be doing more psychology homework and just little things around the house today.  I really wish this rain would go away and dry out my yard so I can do planting...I am itching to get in my garden. Of course Mike is gonna have to do some digging first, we have 2 yucca plants that have multiplied many times and they are taking over my front garden bed, I want them OUT!!  I have heard they are hard to get rid of though.  we shall see!

I hope everyone has a wonderful, warm, dry and safe day today!

I don't think it's allergies because the doctors always prescribe antibiotic drops for her eyes.  I have to go by what my daughter says.  She is away at college so she goes to the university clinic.  She never asks important questions.  But that's a 21 year old for you.  She will need to go to the eye doctor when she comes home for new contacts. I will make sure we talk about this to the doctor.  I nagged her about making sure her hands and surroundings are clean when she puts contacts in or takes them out.

I work in a call center for Office Max as a customer service representative.  When we are not busy, we have the option of taking time off work without pay.  The lack of money is not good but it sure beats bored to tears!

Hope Tyler gets over the MRSA infection.  Yikes!  That is frightening.
