Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today after what felt like a long weekend.

After work today, we are meeting with the roofer that we have chosen to re-do our roof.  It is a big job and we are a bit nervous, but it has to be done.

Olivia has decided to try our for the cheerleading team for next year.  The practices are the first few nights this week with the actual try-outs on Thursday, I believe.  She was not cast in "The King and I" and she is OK with that.  We will still help with that production behind the scenes.

That's about it for me.......not too exciting.

Everyone have a spectacular day!

Hi, everyone! I tend not to join in much on the roll call because my life is much the same every day with young kids.

I would like to give two reviews of new exhibits, for those who have young kids or are kids at heart:

Brookfield Zoo Dinos Alive exhibit: cool dino fun! The kids loved it, even on a rainy day.

Harry Potter at the Museum of Science and Industry: AWESOME! We love the books around here and my hubby and I have seen the movies. Our membership gave us free tickets, but if we had to pay for the adults to go, it would have been worth it. Props from the movie, film clips. All beautifully done.

Have a great day!

Nicolle

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!

HW: 344 lbs      CW: 150 lbs

Good morning all!

We had a good weekend even though the rain cancelled two of Noah's baseball games.  They cancel the games cause it will ruin the fields not because the kids or the parents will get wet!

We went to see Earth on Sunday and it was great and then went out to dinner.  We hardly go out anymore so it was nice to not have to cook and clean.

I also got my closet cleaned out of all the clothes that are too big for me and packed up into 7 garbage bags to take to the clothing exchange at the OH conference.  I am so looking forward to the conference and seeing everyone again.   I hope alot of you can make it and join us in the fun.  I even booked a room for Friday night yesterday just to not have to go home late Friday night and then be back early Sat morning for the talks.  Plus, a night alone, by myself, in a bed by myself, with no interruptions, and no snoring, and showering by myself........Sounds like Bliss to me!!!

This week, I am going to concentrate on protein protein protein...back to basics!  and increase my water intake.  Last week I got so busy that I did not pay attention to the water and then when I was so thirsty it was meal time.  So this week, better attention to fluids and protiens.  Tonite's dinner is Rack of pork, ( 4chops) from Market Day,  They are so yummy and moist.  I know I can eat these, because they turn out so moist.

I have 15 days til Jeff and I leave for our trip to Disney by ourselves!!  We are so looking forward to this trip!  At first we were kind of sad we werent bringning the kids, but we are over that now, and looking forward to some US time.  Us time will make us better parents.

I hope everyone has a good week, and those waiting on approvals get them, and those waiting on surgery dates, we are waiting for you on the losers bench!
