NEW PLACE IN SOUTHERN IL THAT TAKES MEDICAID

HEY EVERYONE  THEY NOW HAVE OPENED A NEW LIFE WEIGHT LOSS CENTER UP IN HERRIN IL. WITH DR.ALEX ARGOTTE HE HAS A WONDERFULL PROGRAM .AND HE TAKES THE MEDICAID! THE HAVE INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS YOU CAN ATTEND AND SUPPORT GROUPS TO .THE ADDRESS IS 317 SOUTH 14TH STREET SUITE 1 HERRIN IL,62948 AND THERE PHONE NUMBER IS 1-618-988-6171 AND THEY DO IT AT HERRIN HOSPITAL. FOR ANY OTHER QUESTIONS I CAN GET INFO .HOPE THIS HELPS. I ATTENDED THIS INFO SESSION ANDIT WAS GREAT .NOW SINCE HE IS JUST GETTING THIS NEW CENTER OPEN HE DOES HAVE TO HAVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF SURGERYS DONE BEFOR MEDICAID WILL PAY IT BUT THEY TOLD ME THERE IS ABOUT A 6 MONTH WAIT. TILL HE GETS TO THE MARK.SO  BY THE TIME YOU GET DONE WITH DIETS AND PAPER WORK IT SHOULD BE TIME .

No, you cannot create the stickie post, only OH can. They have a stickie post already titled "MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEON'S LIST". It is the second from the top post here on the board.

Although this is true he is not able to accept medicade for one year. He stust started here so it wont be until this time next year that he will take medicaid for the actual surgery. Figures 1.5 years after mines done one comes to my town LOL

Hmmm OK i was just letting ppl know there was a closer place.everything i have wrote they just told me .i have my apptment on the 15th of may to get started.they told me it would take 6 monthes to get his status up and going .ill be  calling them tomorrow morning!

I was told the same thing about the 6 month back in January when dr. Argotte did his 1st info session in Herrin and now it is April and you are still hearing that.  I went to the support group meeting in March and was told that he had to complete a certain number of surgeries to get his cert., but to get that cert. he had to do about 130 surgeries but since he was already doing surgery in Paducah, he only had to do about half of them and was told that he had only done 4 and had 8 scheduled so it will be alittle while before all those are completed.  I decided not to wait that long so i am going thru dr. Oliphant in Urbana.

Yea  i think they need to get it together! lol  I thought this was a good thing  with a short drive but the more i hear i can see now me and these doctors are gonna go rounds lol. hope everything goes well  for you.have a great day.

Back in Nov. i met with my pcp and i  gave her dr. Oliphant name for the referral and also was going thru dr. brown for the sleep study because i knew i had sleep apnea & he had told me about dr. argotte coming to Herrin. i thought ok i will wait on dr. oliphant and decided to go to dr. argotte's info session and that is when they said it could take 6-9 months.  so a month later i went back to my pcp and decided to go back to the original dr. in Urbana. I know it is a litlle away from hear but im closer than waiting for another 6-9 months.  Sorry.
