Welcome home my friends!

I am so glad to see that you had a great time and are back with us for a while.  Pretty soon, you will be having your retirement party, and then who knows where you will be off exploring!

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am glad to see that you will have a bit of "down time" as it is always good to relax once in a while.

Crystal--glad the shoulder is better.

Dee---you are FAR braver than I, my friend.  Good for you!

Monica---maybe I should see if David can umpire----I wonder what they pay around here?

Nancy & Carla--Looking forward to seeing you at the conference.  Karen, Monica, Janet, Eileen, Connie and Kay too.  Christine, didn't you say that you were also going?  It will be a great time and I look forward to seeing you all!  If I missed anyone, please forgive me.

Last evening, Liv and I went into our favorite resale shop in Freeport to get new jeans.  We each came away with 2 pairs and that is a good thing!  Liv is horrible to shop with, she "hates" trying things on.  Well, you can't take anything back, so she HAD to try them ALL on----I am such a mean mom!  I also got a new comforter, bed-skirt and shams for only $20!  It is a very nice set that was probably way over $ 100.00 when brand new.  It is in great shape and I love it!

Tonight, the boys have Scouts and Liv has her first softball practice for the year.  That means I will have some "alone time" just for me!  I'm sure I will clean something, or fix something, etc. around the house before I tune in to "Harper's Island".

Welcome, welcome new friends!  Please come out and play with us often!

Everyone have a splendid day!

Good Morning All.

Christine, Have a great 35th. Our 44th will be in Jan.
Monica, I am sorry your son isn't feeling well.
Nancy, Have a great day.
Dee, when do you start?
Crystal, You weren't supose to have restriction, you have none to next to none, saline in your  band at this time.

For all that have asked, yes I am coming to the OH conferance, but I decide to just come for Sat. I will join up with all of you first thing in the morning.

Last night, DH and I went ot Peoria and saw the play,
IT'S ONLY MAKE BELIEVE, The Conway Twitty Musical.
It was a great evening. Our DD gave us the tickets for Xmas. She also gave us a $50. gift card for dinner at Chilies, but we didn't want to drive out that far from downtown, We will use it when we come up to the Chicago area sometime.

My agenda today is to change sheets in our bedroom, finish some laundry, pick up the house, maybe run to wally world, and spend time in the sun. The last thing is the most important to me..

Have a great day, it should be warmer, and stay safe.

Hugs,

Lisa

Just a quick drive by today.  I have to wear shoes and go outside today.  First to fix a powerchair then later to see the doc and nut.  I guess I could wear flip flops to the doc and nut.

Christine...   I do not see Joe on my list.   I am not going to confess what I have had that is not on the list.  Well maybe that I decided plain was not good and had flavored oatmeals.  And that beans and rice definately need cheese or sour cream with them occasionally.  Maybe I have empathy for 75% of the world down to 50%.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

I cannot quit my Joe cold turkey or I will have a horrendous head ache. I would have had to stop drinking it 3-4 weeks ago by cutting back gradually. We have jazzed up our rice etc a little to make sure we get the proper nutrition per my NUT. We really, really do not like that cup either. It makes your food and water taste funky. I am empathetic but cannot wait for this to be over, LOL.

Myself for a fact am very weak in that I can hardly do this for 5 days but others less fortunate go through this all the time.

Hi everybody,
Well today I decided to tackle this gas issue. So I am off of real food again. I'm doing only liquids during the day and having protien drinks which don't seem to make the issue as bad.  If I have to live like this I will. I'm not willing to trade off being thinner but stinky.

Congrats on the new job. It is good to know someone got a job.  My DH went on his first interview in 9 months.  They told him there was over 1000 applications for the forklift drivers job he applied for.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

Have you tried Gas X or going on a probiotic? The probiotic really helps me. You really cannot live on liquid proteins for the rest of your life. Give Cheryl or Dana a call for any suggestions regarding the gas issue.

The probiotic work wonders for me too!

Here is what I take, I only need one per day usually.  The difference is like night and day.

but maybe Janet will chime in with the super-duper stuff that she has......

Chris is right----you can't and don't want to live your life on liquids.......we had this surgery to enjoy life more, not make it harder!

Good luck!

Hi I have for me the best stuff for gas, I had it so so bad I could not stand my self and wanted to hid away,
I got  Florajen  from Walgreen's, it has 20 billion cultures per capsule, you have to ask for it  from the pharmacist  it is kept in the frig. cost was about $20 .00 for 60 capsule, take 1 a day,
you can also look it up on the web,
good luck and hope you find something that works for you.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
