Sunday Roll Call
Good morning everyone. Yes, the good word is there is one more day to the weekend. I need to get outside before it starts coming down out there. The heavier rain is supposed to hit here by afternoon. I got a lot done yesterday but there is far more waiting for me.
Oh the joys of owning a home. Sometimes townhouse life is very appealing
Later on I need to get over to Home Depot for a couple of things. I need one of those big squares of peat moss to supplement the containers and dirt for my veggie garden. My little plants down under the grow light are all doing fantastic. In fact the Marigolds have little tiny flowers starting to pop out. The pre started sunflowers are getting tall also.
Later on tonight we are meeting some friends for dinner. It will be a "last supper" of sorts for us. We are participating in a hunger awareness from church, called Celebration of Hope 2009. http://www.willowcreek.org/coh/home/ We did get the go ahead from our NUTs to participate. The reduction in food for 5 days will not hurt us nutritionally. This is to have everyone keep in mind all the children in the world that go hungry and thirst daily. It is not only the food reduction we are doing but meal packing also and contributing financially if you can do so. It is all voluntary.

Sounds like you and Dave have a busy day planned today . Hope you get it all done. I hear you about the condo life!
I admire you and Dave for taking on the hunger challange. That is true sacrifice. Until I had this surgery, I never would have thought of trying sojething like that. Hopefully you will get your fluids in.
Today it is church for me and some things around the house. Yesterday was a beautiful day to enjoy!
Hope everyone enjoys this last weekend day! Use the weather as a reason to get inside things accomplished!

The hunger/thirst awareness has been modified slightly by our NUT so we get the fluids in that we need. Ours mostly will be in the form of liquid protein.

Good morning Illinois friends. I am leaving soon we are going to the art museum today before the game that will most likely never take place. It will be a late night though if it does go on and I have a very busy day tomorrow. We are taking kids to the courthouse for brown bag it day, we take the band and chorus down and the sing and play for the folks during lunch hour. They are doing it different this year though. Usually we take them then wait for them. This year we are taking them then coming back to town to pick up another group down drop them off the pick up the first group bring them back to school then go back and pick up the second group. So the way I see it I will make some good money tomorrow. Then Tuesday I am take a group to the Federal Courthouse, I believe its the civics class. I will have my 2 year old GD with me all day on both days. She just loves riding the bus!
OK I am tired and I have not done the work yet!
Tah Tah for now!

We had severe storms all night here, which means no sleep for me. I have two dogs that are terrified of storms, and I ran out of the pills we give them before a storm hits.
I am gonna finish my coffee, and get ready for church. I don't really have anything planned for today, but maybe a little laundry.
Hope everyone has a great day!

What happened with the "no rain on Easter,no rain for the next 6 weeks", thought? Or is it rain on Easter then it will rain for the next 6
Sundays? Either way, I hate the rain, and gloom. I did get out yesterday and rake the flower beds. Even burned them up. Today I will tackle the laundry. Then get the stuff ready for the work week.I have my pork chops all preped for the pork chop receipe that Dawn gave the other day. They sound great.
I found out yesterday that the sewer repair, for a rental, that we were going to da, can't be done. We have a collasped sewer tile section, due to tree roots. So, instead of a $2000.00 repair, it is going to be a $5000.00 new sewer line.
I am not happy today.
Keep Sunlight in your heart today and stay dry and safe.
Hugs
LISA
It's an icky day outside, but we are all alive, so that's awesome!!
Chris, Jacob was at Willowcreek yesterday with his dad and stepmom packaging food for that. He emailed me and asked if it was something we could do to help the starving children around the world. There happens to be one of the "Feed My Starving Children" facilities right here in Aurora, so I told him of course we can! I have done it before also and it's such a rewarding time. Tyler was supposed to go and help, but with his fractured elbow they decided to let him stay home.
Today I am not doing too much. This afternoon Mike and I have to head back up to Schaumburg to clean up after the Lutheran Marriage Encounter Weekend and we'll also meet my ex there and pick up the boys. Other than that, not much going on.
I hope everyone has a warm, safe and wonderful day!
Got a few things done today like washing the floors, washing potties, bringing out the suitcases for our trip . . . . and now I am going to nap or just lounge in front of the boob box. Dave is off to pack meals in Glendale Heights for the Creek.
