Gooooooodddddd mooooorrrrrnnnning all you fine Illini Peeps.   I am not so sure why I am so cheery this morning. Just me I guess. Sorry if I woke any of you sleepy heads that are still snoozing. Good thing that you do not live by me because my neighbor kid's car horn was just going off for about 10 minutes. Of course the kid did not get up to fix it but mom ran out there.

Well, Dave meets with his boss today in near by Addison. Dave is getting fed up with this company as he still has 4 outstanding travel vouchers that he has not been paid for. He got paid for one of the five so far. But get this - the company bounced the check he got for it  what is up with that? The same thing is happening (not getting paid) to his counterparts that are under contract also.

I have a meeting at Addison PD today at 1pm. After wards I will go over to Ace and pick up 3 Command hooks for the new curtains in the 3 season room. The other set that I put up look and work (keeping the glare down) fantastic so I got more for the other set of windows to the south

What is going on in your world today? We can all breath a little better as the taxes are in and on their way to the Feds.

PS - yesterday at support group we had a presentation on utilizing the internet to our advantage as pre and PO patients. Dana went into how to set up an account on SparkPeople.com She really brought to light how to navigate the site to us. I had joined it a long time ago but stopped using it mainly because I thought it was cumbersome. She gave a lot of tips on how to use the site. She also touched on calorieking.com and dietfacts.com. We also got a great handout with a whole mess of sites to utilize for info.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good Morning Chris and the rest of IL!

Chris you are probably so cheery because it's supposed to be another nice day outside!  The sun is shining and it's supposed to be 60 I believe.

As for me and my world...well let's just say that Tyler, my oldest, sure is keeping the hospitals in business around here!  He had wrestling practice last night from 6-8 and he went to a friend's house right after school and then they took him there.  Mike went to pick him up at 8 and when he got there, the coach walked out to the car with Tyler and said that he hurt his elbow in practice and the trainer just thinks it's a sprain or he possibly hyperextended it.  Sooo, when they got home here and I heard that and I saw his elbow and how much pain he was in, I took him to the Delnor ER...well boy am I glad that we went.  It seems he fractured his elbow!!  He's in a temporary cast right now and we will be seeing an ortho early next week to decide what will need to be done.  Hopefully they'll just be able to put a regular cast on it and let it heal...the ER doc said that she saw a "chip" in the elbow..that doesn't sound good to me, but we'll see I guess.

So, for me today, I have to run to Sam's club and then just come home and do things around the house.  I will pick up Tyler from school at 2:50 and then home for dinner and then out to the middle school for a presentation for incoming 6th graders.   Then home and to bed for us...we didn't get home til 11pm and then by the time I helped Tyler clean up and get comfy on the couch it was after midnight.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, warmer and safe day today

Monica

 Good morning Illinois friends!

Ian typing one handrd as Fluffer is curled up in my other arm.  He wants his loving this morning.  It is a beautiful sunny day!  I want to play hooky!     But alas, I have to go to work.  BUT it is Friday Eve!

Not much planned for today.  I did have an appointment to get my depression meds yesterday and was kind of disappointed with my psychiatrist's support.  I asked if he knew of a counselor that specialized in eating disorders and he told me there was no one around here.  I just feel I need to work through some issues.  I see old habits rearing their heads again and I dont want to go there.

So, I am still back at square one.

Anyway, I will keep trying.

Monica, I think Tyler needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap!  I hope it is not serious either.  I have chipped a bone in my ankle and it was not a problem.  It sounds bad but it really isn't.  The real trouble is when you shatter a bone.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Illinois.

I am hoping for a really nice (warm) day today, so I can get DH to go walk with me. If not, I will have my exercise on the gazell .

Janet, good luck with training day 2.

Monica, enjoy all the trials  of raising teens. It will be notime until they are grown and gone.

Today I want to tear into my bedroom. It isn't horrible, but if I clean it now, it should stay that way for a bit. I also want to go to Kmart for some garden stuff and a new mouse.

I did go to the Knee Doc yesterday. He is convinced that my knee problems are arthritis based. So, I got a corasone shot, and he said if it isn't better in two weeks, I  can come in for a MRI.

have a great day, take advantage of the sun.

Hugs,
LISA

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today, then home to tackle a few more minutes on the "killer" bike, then I get to go to a meeting with a special committee from the school board regarding the marching band boosters.  It is a very long and drawn out story and I hope it does not contain any more drama than necessary.

Tomorrow, the boys head out for a camp out then Liv is working at the museum on Saturday.  We are thinking of having Riley overnight on Saturday night.  I am really looking forward to the weekend and some relaxation----I feel like I have been really busy this week.

We finally got the yard raked and the first round of fertilizer applied.  I was starting to think that the yard was never going to dry out!

Everyone have a fabulous day!

Good morning all.  It's been a slightly rough week as Meredith continues to discover the meaning of terrible two's.  The other night they had an extra client in student clinic and I was asked to step in and be her therapist.  Even though I've done massage for years, it was my first time in clinic and it was exciting.  I start in clinic two nights a week next month, but it was exciting to step in.  Next week I have three different corporate outreach events in which I'll be doing chair massage.  I'm looking forward to that.  I've been having a lot of food problems this week which has me down.  I think I'm just in the cycle of inflamamtion and I need to have a few liquid only days.  The good news is that the insurance came through on our house and we will be getting new siding next week.  It will be like getting a new house!  I've got a bit of the blues in general, but I think I'm just tired from the food problems and school.  I hope everyone enjoys the nice day.

Cheer up-buttercup!!!!

You know that we all love you and I personally hope the day gets brighter for you.

Merideth and Riley would be getting along just fine these days!  Riley REFUSED to pick up her toys after she emptied ALL the buckets out onto the floor the other day.  Amber was beside herself!

Paul, the terrible 2s give way to the horrible 3s. They become angles for a bit about 5, when they go to school, then about 10  they start to think you don't know anything. It really will get better, its amazing how much you learn when they are out on their own.

Good Luck with your clinic experience.

Lisa
