Monday Roll Call
This year I actually feel as if I am rendering unto AIG and large banks.
A trip to the PCP as well today where hopefully he will give me something for BP that actually works. I get very tired of taking bp meds and seeing the same numbers.
Weekend foods did not mess up the scale too bad. I am up two pounds today. Did not realize Aldi would be closed yesterday so I am sans my normal supples today but will make do as I have beans, cornbread and ham. Had two slimfast for breakfast.
Cheery Ho and cheery day to you all.
Sorry haven't been posting lately, just been lurking. Carol love the new pic you look great!!! I'm glad everyone seemed to of had a nice Easter. Not much going on with me , the same ole, same ole. Been trying to exercise alittle more with the nice weather we had for a couple of days. It was great to get my bike out and going riding and to walk Tillie alittle longer. Well anyway just wanted to stop in and say hello to you all. Take Care!

So glad you all enjoyed your families yesterday, we did too,had planned a dinner here and I was too ill to even go to church services. My daughter did all the food and when I woke up she and my granddaughter were doing the last minute housework. They are sweethearts. I need some advice, 3 weeks ago I saw my doctor, it was a sinus infection then but this time is different, I have been hurting all over, before I was out walking with no aches, I get very cold even in a 75 degree room even to the point of wearing gloves, sometimes it changes then I'm flushed. The main thing is my headache, it's so bad, I've had to try sleeping in the recliner the last two nights with a wet cloth tied around my head. My blood pressure is fine, and before this I was eating right, now the appetite is gone and it's hard to get the fluids in. I've read your post about being cold, are any of the other symptoms some you have experience in your weight loss? I also have moderate hair thinning which I'm getting concerned about, I'd appreciate any advice. I have a lap band 12/02/2008
It sounds like maybe this time, you have the flu. Not that I am a doctor or anything....... Body aches, chills then hot flashes sound like the flu. If so, it is viral and you will have to ride it out. A call to the doctor could not hurt though.
As you lose weight, you WILL be cold! I spent the whole winter in 3-4 layers of clothing and I am still wearing a turtleneck and hoodie today. Once it gets over 80, I am comfortable. I wear gloves when I work too. This is just a side effect. Many people say it is because we have lost all of our padding, but I think it is hormones too.
The headaches are also related to hormones. I had KILLER headaches right at about the time that you are out from surgery. The doctor gave me migraine medicine, and I had to take a dose or two, but they went away. At 3-4 months out, I also had the worst case of "PMS" in my life.......I was irritated at EVERYTHING!!!!! All of these things are related to hormones that are being released because they were formerly stored in your fat. As the fat leaves, the hormones are flying around causing all kinds of issues. The good news is that it WILL settle down in a month or so.
The thinning hair is also to be expected. The good news is that it should grow back. Make sure to get your protein in each day.
Good luck to you and keep up the great work!
