I am running late and no one has started roll call.  Are we all asleep this morning????

It is election day.  Dont forget to vote!    Remember, your vote counts!

It is another no special plans day except I hope to make my first ever support group today.  This is my 1 year surgiversary so no time like the present to start, right?  Up until now, my schedule for work has not been conducive to attend.  So I am anxious to go.

Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm.  Yes, spring will get here eventually.

Good Morning Nancy and the rest of IL

I was going to start roll call after I put peanut butter on my toast, but then Nancy beat me to it!  lol
Happy surgiversary to you Nancy!!  Congrats on a great year!!

Today I am voting, running to the bank, doing homework, some light housecleaning around here, picking Tyler up from school and then possibly going to parent/teacher conferences at the high school.   I don't like the way they are done, so I'm not sure I'm gonna waste my time.  Tyler's getting all A's and B's in Honors classes.  The only one he needs help in is English and he's getting it.

Other than that, not much on the adgenda for me today....
I hope everyone has a wonderful, warm and safe day today!

Monica

For not doing anything today, it sounds like you have a full day Monica!  By the way, I loved those Vegas pictures!

I am laughing at myself because I totally read your post wrong.  I read "Today I am vomiting, running to the bank, doing homework..."  I thought, "those things don't really go together, I hope she's ok."

Hello everyone

I'm at work (like always).  Sorry Nancy, I did work 11.5 hours yesterday.  I need the money.  I did manage to get some walking in yesterday.  I am having some trouble getting all my protein in every day.  I always seem to be a few grams short.

I have to do some last minute Easter shopping and send my daughter her Easter basket.  I have to get it sent off by Wednesday so she will get it by Easter.  I did get pictures of her trip to North Carolina, where she volunteered at a wildlife refuge for tigers.  I will have to work to get them posted.  I already have them up on Facebook.

Well have a nice day

Check into the protein ice cream.  You can find recipes at www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com
I make a basi**** cream with fruit in it.  It is basically a protein shake processed through an ice cream maker but it tastes soooo much better.  I find it easy to eat and a great way to get my protein in.  Ill be glad to share my recipe if you want.  Michelle's (eggfaces) are more elaborate but I am a plain Jane ice cream person.

Just be careful not to over do things.  We dont want you run down so soon after your surgery.

Good Morning Friends,

I am running a bit late also, since I want to go vote this morning, I have to leave a bit earlier. After work today, I have to go pick up my Xrays to take to the ortho Dr.

The snow is just about gone, maybe we can say good bye until next winter. It wouldn't make me sad if it does. The weekend looks good. Not as warm as I would like, but  no rain. I will say it wouldn't bother me if I could say good bye to all winter clothing either. I want to pack away the sweaters and bring out the short sleeves and tanks, even a pair or two of shorts( which I only wear around the house)

Have a great day, stay warm and safe.

HUGS

LISA

Monica sounds like a busy day you have going on,

Crystal, don't over do it, you need to work up to work long hours again, don't push your self,

For me Taking my granddaughter back to Target the shirt she picked out last weekend is way too big,
Then going to Woodmans to get me some coffee , and when Jim gets home off to vote,
Other then that not much going on,

I am going to a support group at my local hospital.  I have not made it to any of the ones in Harvard.  It is too far away and I dont get off of work in time.

My favorite ice cream recipe is

In a blender place 3  heaping scoops vanilla protein powder.  Add vanilla soy mil****il container fills to just over the 3 cup line.  Add 2 - 3 TBSP sugar free DiVincci syrup.  I use either vanilla or raspberry because that is all I can buy around here.  Add 9 - 10  frozen strawberries or some frozen fruits.  (the frozen fruit helps chill the mixture and it makes creamier ice cream.)  Blend until smooth.  Pour mixture into an ice cream freezer.  Process according to manufacturers directions.  I use a cuisinart and it takes about 1/2 hour.  Then I chop fresh or frozen fruit into ziplock storage containers and pour ice cream mixture in the bowls.  I usually use 4 bowls.  Sometimes I get 5 bowls.  Seal and place into freezer until ready to use.  To serve:  Zap in microwave 30 - 40 seconds.

In the summer I use fresh peaches, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries etc for my fruit.  I always put a banana chopped up between all the bowls.  That way I get my fruit and protein!
