Freaking out due to insurance
Tomorrow is my last pre-operative visit required by the insurance company and then we can file for approval. I am really, really, really freaking out right now, even to the point of not eating(that's serious for me)!
I have been told that Aetna Choice POS II, is the hardest insurance company to get approval from. So, I am sending as much information to them as I possibly can. I did not have a doctor five year weight history, so I tracked down every emergency visit I had within the last 10 years and was able to come up with my weight from 2004 to present. I had the YMCA to print out all my visits to the gym, wrote a letter appealing to them the need for the surgery, sending ten pictures of my weight from 2000 to present, having some of my friends and family members write letters, and a calendar of my exercise routine for the last six months.
I am really praying for immediate approval or denial so I can know the next move I need to take. I have heard that Aetna will take 30 days to deny. So , I am sending all I can now, so I can press them for a decision immediately.
So, please keep me your prayers, because when prayers go up, blessings come down!

Prayers and blessings coming to you. If you ask me UHC is worse to get approved with. My sister was denied twice for RNY. Believe it or not my DH has a retiree policy with your same insurance which did not pay for his WLS but believe it or not they paid for his panni removal and hernia repair. Go figure.
