Good morning Illinois, the weekend is finally here in a few hours.

Not much going on for me today other than work and then pick Dave up at O'Hare at about 7pm.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

The weekend is almost here.  Yeah!

Beemer came home last night and is doing fine.  Of course he is trying to lay a guilt trip on me but I am not falling for it.  I am giving him some extra cuddles but I draw the line at being blamed for the surgery! 

Tomorrow is the Auction for our local Pet Rescue shelter.  It is always a good time.  I will be working at it so I will get there about 3:30 and get home about 10:30 or 11pm.

I have a sore throat again this morning.  I never have really gotten over the last cold I have so it may be coming back.  Grrr. 

Other than that, just the usual weekend planned.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!  

   

                                                                        

Boy, kitty cats are so funny sometimes with their "attitude" My cats were like that also - to make me feel guilty for what they went through. Hope this is the end of Beermer's troubles and can live pain and trouble free for the rest of his life (lives).

We have a full day today.. Madison and I will be leaving shortly to do some marketing for the local pizza shop.  Then I have to go over to a friends Mexican restaurant and train w/ her from noon to three.  I'll be working for her next week while her helper is on vacation.  It will just be a one week gig from 10 - 3, m - f.  After my "training" this afternoon we have to get home, shower, I have to work at Outback and Madison is going to a birthday party at the neighbors house.  It's so nice having kids close by that are the same age and she enjoys playing with.  It's been a blessing.  That's our day in a nutshell.

I did try to get a shoe on my foot this morning just out of curiosity and my foot is still too swollen.  I may go back to icing it down at night to see if that helps any.

Jessica, Al and the baby will be coming into town tomorrow to pick up Madison which will be another full day.  Not sure at this point if they are spending the night.  They usually do.  We shall see.

Christina, I think the icing is a good idea but also (something you know) you need to get off of it and elevate it.

Sorry that the time is coming to an end with your visit with Madison, the end is sometimes bittersweet . . . .

Hi Christine -
Our power was out when I came home around 3 yesterday and was still out when I left for work so this is the first I've had to respond.  Yes, I have been trying to stay off my feet as much as possible and continue to ice it. 

We have had a great time this week with Madison but Nana is ready for a break.  It is bittersweet.

Good morning,

I know it is dreary out, but it is Friday. I have no big plans, but something always turns up.  I have a busy week next week with two dinners I am making for Passover. I plan on doing some of the cooking over the weekend so I won't be overwhelmed next week.  I have my family to help so I will put them all to work.

I am glad Beamer is better. It must be nice to have him home.

Good morning,

Tonight is the big Sleep study and I am a little anxious about it. The good news is that this will wrap up all of the initial testing that Dr. Joyce and his team need to me to complete. Now it is time to buckle down and grind out the next 4 1/2 months. I hope everyone has a good day and weekend.

Hope it all goes well with the study. My husband had to go back a second time because the first night his results came out insufficient. For him he slept horribly due to the strange inviroment etc.

Yes, I agree use the remaining time to get a good handle on your future life style changes so they become second nature.

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today and very glad that it is Friday.  If we are slow, I can leave by 2:00!!!!
I think that Todd is bringing Pizza home for himself and the kids tonight, so I won't even have to cook!  I will probably have some leftover Corned Beef and Cabbage Stoup.

Tomorrow, Todd has to finish his Wilderness First Aid training, so he leaves at 6:30 am.  Liv has to work a cookie booth (yes, Girl Scout Cookies.....) from 9-4.  That leaves David and I again, but I think Amber and Riley may hook up with us for a visit.  Not sure what is up for the rest of the weekend.

I'd like to get some yard work done, but it is still very wet at our house.  I may dig some horseradish and grind it up to make some for the guys in the office.

Glad to hear that Beemer is doing well.

Monica should be back next week with great stories from Vegas.  I hope she is having a great time....she deserves it!
