Thursday Roll Call

Good morning,

I'll be killing time before the support group as well.  I will probably hang out at Panera where I can use my computer to do stuff.  I'll have to figure out a safe place to have food.  I'm not sure, maybe I'll stop at Whole Foods and get some cooked shrimp to eat.  I want to try Chipotle, but haven't had anything of theirs since the surgery.  I don't walk well enough to tool around a mall for a while (as well as I don't want the temptation to spend $$), like Chris is going to.  I do have to stop at Fox Valley Mall to sign a return receipt for my DH's eye exam at Lenscrafters.

Not much going on otherwise.  Work continues as usual.  I'm swimming every morning before work.

I removed a few more 2X sized clothes from my closet, as they are too big.

I wish you all well.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

Funny, this week, I can't beleive it is already Thursday while last week took FOREVER to pass.  Oh well, that makes this week a good one!

I hope Beemer does well today and gets to come home.  My Toby was sneezing a couple days ago and I was worried, but he seems better.  Now, TODD has another bad cold.  I told him that he needs to take his viatimins!  This will be the 4th or 5th for him this season and it used to be that he never got sick, maybe one cold per year.

After work home to figure out dinner then I plan to settle in to watch the "ER" finale.

I finally got the plug back for my new-to-me bike and tried it out yesterday.  OH BOY!!!!!!  This is NOT just a stationary bike like the old one!  This thing is an Airobic Trainer---with programmable resistance and moving handlbars.  I used to ride the manual old one for 45 or more minutes, with the spedometer telling me that I averaged 20 mph.  I would break a small sweat and breath a bit heavier.  SOOOOOOOO, I set the program for this bike at 30 minutes with gradually increasing, then decreasing resistance.....turned it on and started pedalling...........The resistance at first was tolerable (on "1"), but by "3" (it goes to "5"), I could barely pu**** and I was breathing so hard!!!!!  I had to stop.  I tried again, with the resistance only on "1".  I rode for a toal of 7 minutes.  I had to stop again, and tried again for another 5-7 minutes.   This is NOT the same.  I will not let it beat me though and plan on working my way up.  This machine really IS a trainer.  Maybe it is just what I need to break the cycle?  (No pun intended.....)

I will attack it again this evening before dinner and see if I can ride for 8 minutes......

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning Folks,

I am deep in doing laundry, changing our bed, and trying to make a 9:am hair appointment.

We had no plans for the weekend, and last night got invited to two different things on the same night. We were to go out with friends on Sat. but our daughter called and wants us for dinner on Sat. also. Well, being who I am, we will go to our daughters. That is one thing I always do, if my kids want to do something with us, or want to see us, I never say no. To many people will tell you that they never see thier kids, but they don't tell you that they don't have or don't make time for them.
Our kids are our best friends.

I hope Beemer gets home today.

Stay dry, safe and warm today.

Huggers,

Lisa

HI Everyone!

Doing one of my not so frequent fly bys to say that I am still around.

I truly wish someone would invent more hours to the day, as I do not always get everything accomplished on my to do list.  Busy at work as it is the first quarter close, and work my fanny off to pass the finance class I had to retake due to failing it the first time . But I am still on track to graduate next year.

I am sitting comfortable at 139-141 depending on the day and how nice my scale wants to be. It is nice to be normal .   I have had what I believe to be a few hypoglycemic episods so I went to my PCM and got a glucose meter for tracking.  I am going to see if there is any correlation to what I am eating and the low levels.  I just thank god that my insurance is so great.  I had not out of pocket expenses for the meter or any of the supplies that go with it.

Think warm weather and spring flowers everyone  .

Thanks for dropping by!  I agree that there need to be more hours in the day.  I remember those days of working full time and going to school -- not fun.  Good luck in that finance class.  We are rooting for you!

Good morning Nancy and Illinois!

Just got back from the vet with Bella. She needed to have her post-op checkup. She did great, everything is healing well!
Today's agenda is to do laundry and start doing my normal cleaning. Tomorrow I have an interview appointment with another management company. Hope we find one we like really soon.
Oh well, that's pretty much it for today.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning all!

Mari here:

Cory at home, relaxing in the last days of being off work. He returns on Monday.

Other than work, work and more work, not much else going on!

Today we are just grateful to God for all He has done and will continue to do.

Be blessed!

Good Afternoon All -

I know, I know.. I've been MIA this week.  We picked up Madison on Sunday and she has kept me on my toes ever since.  It's been a good week but I do wish the weather would have been nicer for us.  Oh well.  I've been doing some marketing in the am and working at Outback in the evenings and entertaining Madison in between.  My schedule has been full.
Foot is healing and I hope to be able to get a shoe on it possibly next week.  It still swells quite a bit by the end of the day but that is probably mostly from waiting tables.  Go figure.

Not too much else going on.. Ready for some nice weather, a healed foot and some motivation to get "moving".  My goal is to get to the gym in the early am once I get the ok from my doc.
I get up w/ Calvin every morning around six so there is no reason why I can't just start my day off right.  No excuses to be made.  Someone please hold me accountable!

Have a good one!
Christina
