Wednesday Roll Call
There was no chiding in my post as I did not know you had mispelled anything. Computer people of my generation are used to spelling things so they fit in the number of characters allowed by the assembler or compiler. That along with a lot of reading of British and German lit have really messed up my spelling skills.
Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today, but the boss is back, so I should get to go home at my earlier time. I plan to go work out on the machines at the school.
I have ribs in the oven set on auto-start to slow cook all day. I used Paul's rub and wound up marinating them for 2 nights as the family decided to go to Taco Tuesday last night. We are looking forward to dinner!
We picked up the junky car for David last night and it is really a "hoopty"!!!! He LOVES it!!! It seems to have a solid engine but the body and interior leave much to be desired. The whole neighborhood spent the evening eating tacos and commenting on what improvements he can make-----lining the headliner with pictures of girls from magazines, adding teeth to the grill, speed limit signs to replace rusty floor boards......... Reminds me of my first cars! He will not turn 16 until May 15th, but even so, he has to keep his grades at all A's and B's in order to get his license and really call the car his own. It will be a great project.
To answer your question about tracking, I use "The Daily Plate" when I track. I just like it best. I have tried FitDay and Sparkpeople, but like this one best. Funny thing is, for me, NOTHING seems to work. It is the same now as before surgery-----no matter WHAT I do, the weight stays the same. I am not giving up, but in the past year and a half, I have tried everything I can think of short of starvation/gimmick diets, and working out 2-4 hours per day. I guess I am just one of those whose bodies pick a place that IT likes. It is very frustrating when I let it get to me, but I try to stay positive and spend my time helping and supporting others. Some day, maybe I will find the answer if I keep at it long enough.......at least, that is my hope.
Everyone have a splendid day!

Folks of your height have a real tight rope to walk as the differance between the number of calories to be at goal and the number to go into starvation mode are so close together. Your goal weight number is so small also that what you see others eat and what is offered when eating out is way more than you need but society and friends keep reinforcing a model that just will not work for you.
No secrets there. For a woman it is ten calories times your goal weight. That is really very little food though. I am not sure goal weights are always great things though unless a person has really had some good testing for there actual body makeup. Heavy muscling in one area of your body is enough to make a person close to goal be overweight when you percentage of body fat is below the suggested level.
That is net.
What is amazing to me is that starvation mode is based on gross calories and that it is the same number no matter how much you weigh. I think that has to be not exactly right but that is what we are taught to use.
One question I never could get answered by docs and nuts is how if I had a net of zero or lower I could not be in starvation mode.
